Freakin' psychedelic flags!!!

Good idea!   There's a flag for me all right!  Makes me want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and guts and veins in my teeth.

Sorry, got carried away.

But, good idea, anyway.

Hoping you will share some of your results as well Side.

So these are from yesterday, rinsed and washed today. I'll call them "happy failures", because they were not what I was trying for, but even the failures seem to come out cool.

The yoga shirt is linen, and had a pocket so it was different to fold and tie. I almost got what I was going for, but decided to add a tiny bit of a lavender, which added a pink I did not want. I was going for pale watery, so the next experiment will be how to over dye, to just add a tint. With a pale green over, the pink will go tan, and the overall will become more "Aqua".( I hope )

This was my first long sleeve, and getting the sleeves inside was entertaining............

Overall I am pretty happy with this, although it finished with more blue than I was intending.

I like the long sleeves because the pattern is bold. The strong center demands attention

I can attest to the fact that Sky is being extremely modest. The shirts I have seen in person are strikingly beautiful, and the shirt gifted to me absolutely took my breath away because of how vibrant (And purple) it is. They are the best I have seen, blowing the so-called "Pro's" away. His artistic talent is never ending.

OK, here are some of my first shirts.  I've been doing as many of these as I can since we got our supplies.  I have a tendency to do this... I find something I like and then I go crazy on it for a while.

They look great Side !

The spirals are vibrant, and I see you mastered the correct fold to get the mirror split. It sounds like you and I have the same affliction, going all in with a new creative outlet to the point of obsession for a while.

There are soooo many ways to apply these dyes. I don't see me running out of experiments for a while. Possibly when every item of clothing I own is now tie dyed..................................

I've noticed that some of the patterns exhibit "bursts" over the locations of the chakras.

For example, the long-sleeve shirt appears to highlight the chakras at the sacral, heart, and throat. Super-cool effect.

Having done  Heart Centered Meditation, and Chakra alignment for years now, I just instinctivly go to the Heart position when I start placing twists. Its not really accidental, it is the centerpoint, so I feel things should radiate outward from there.

I have been trying to calculate how to do a shirt with 7 aligned focal points, and dye them the colors of the Chakra system....

I'm still working this out, but I will get there.....

Thank you for noticing Myc.

So Side, how many faces and animal totems have you been finding in the patterns? I am starting to think if I channel a "theme" while

applying the dye, it comes out in the end........ :tinfoil:

Nice!  I definitely see faces and figures all over these shirts.  Angel picks them out faster than I do, though!

Don't save it to wear one, I have washed a few of my first ones over 6 times, and seen no difference in the color. I set the dye 24 hours before rinsing, and then wash with synthopal in hot, which really sets the dye well and does not bleed in the wash...

(there's no pink underwear here)
