So I have two seperate sub strains going right now and I had a quick question. Why are some Substrains more rhizomorphic (hairy) then others.

My Ban Hua Thanon is a beautiful pearly white with these long beautiful strands of Mycellium all over. Every jar of this is the EXACT same. It's almost as if each WBS has it's own head of long flowing white hair. It colonized a little slower but visually is a pleasure to look at.

Then you have my Orissa India strain which is almost more tomentose (fluffy). These ones colonized faster but Mycellium strands are much shorter and more fluffy like a fur ball.

Both strains are produced side by side from the same batch of sterilized WBS in the same types of jars.

Is it a genetics thing? I posted some pictures below. The ones aren't fully colonized yet are the Ban Hua Thanon & The pictures of the ones that looks completely colonized is the Orissa India.

Is it just purely genetics? Thanks

Whatever it is, it looks nice. Good job. genetics or method, its a lot more fun to guess at that than the  differences in contaminations.

Its likely genetics. All the pictures look fairly normal.

LoL this Ban Hua Thanon Myc is looking nice. If the last group of pics from a few days ago got you erect these recent ones will cause you to blow your load LMAO.

... Shit's getting weird

Anyways here's some more Myco porn for shits and giggles. I'll start doing some step by step grow logs once I begin my grain to grain transfers on these.

My mouth waters for real whenever I see grains that look like they're coated in marshmallow-looking myc, I have some popcorn that's gettin like that.

I don't especially like the taste of mushrooms, but it does make my mouth water profusely to see pics of colonized grain.
