Grow kits, sawdust spawn, need advice

Your oysters need more humidity, and your lion need less. They look awesome tho.. Just a matter of dialing them in. If you don't have plans for selling them, it is not that important.

Just planning on eating them, but I do want to get better at growing them. So....thanks!

Do you work with agar. I'd suggest saving cultures for your future grows.

Just noticed this...I've been hanging out in "magic," mostly, and forgot to check.

 

Yup, I do a lot of agar.  Thanks for the reminder!  I've been thinking I should lift some tissue from the 2nd flush of that Lion's Mane, and keep a culture going till spring.  I live in the woods, so inoculating a bunch of logs with plugs might be an option.

I've got to add...I loved eating the big slabs I cut from that first flush of Hericium. I got three meals out of those pom-poms, enthusiastically shared by my mycophile son.

 

Totally cleared up my senile dementia too.  Unless it didn't. :biggrin:
