Maybe they are a contamination that fruited?
Sorry, I can't give an answer other than they don't look like pics I've seen of pan pins at all, but I have been interested in finding out if anyone has had loose spores from previous grows contaminate their agar or grains or anything.
The area where I do my SAB stuff surely has spores floating around the environment from my fruiting room & drying racks, which are all in the same space, especially since I was letting a lot of fruits mature and drop spores(lazy) to the point that I've had black shit get on my clothes from brushing up against the wall behind my FCs.
Is there a possibility that you contammed something, or were you saying there might have been the wrong species altogether in the syringe with the pan spores?
If you look at the spores on a slide under a microscope and see two different forms, like color, shape, size, let Sporeworx know, or just tell them you checked and they don't look like pan trops spores under magnification.
What do the mushers look like at full maturity? IDK if a lot of spores from diff species look the same or what, this is really interesting to me.
