I would take this one step farther, and state the plants can sense the intent you touch them with. A kind and gentle touch would not be received as a threat, the same way pruning always goes better and heals faster when you take the time to touch and explain that you intend to help before making any cuts.


That plants communicate I have known for many years. The roots tap into the living veneer of this earth, essentially one organism, and if asked kindly, trees will transmit a positive healing vibe all the way across the country, from one person to another with only the touch of a hand to send and to receive..............
