Doing dub tubs with the coco coir substrate. All the pinning seems to be on the sides around the plastic bag liners and growing on the bottom of the block. New to this hobby, had decent luck with BRF cakes, just a low yield. Also getting trich on the coir. Have had great luck doing Grain to grain jars and don’t want to buy spores again. Maybe time to try a new substrate/chamber ?

Did you use a Pressure cooker on the Coir. Ive heard it said that certain brands of coir have Trich added to it. That may be your problem.

Is your RH high enough in the dubtub? Side pinning sometimes is because the bulk sub has begun to dry out at the top surface. This could also be the reason the Trich, which was there, has been able to take off as there's no mycelial competition. And yes, some coir can have Trich in it right off.

Pics do help a lot in these type questions.
