Ow hell yeah :) Though if it is dependent on me being good, the chances of getting anything but coal are kind of long, lol.
Pharmer has been trying to get me to take out an equity loan on the house to get one of those bad boys for quite a few years now, but so far I haven't been able to justify it to myself, let alone my wife.

So while my exposure on this one definitely washes out the background, it kind of makes a cool silhouette picture (IMO). It almost makes it look like it was a cut and past, but I assure you this is as I shot it.
Top left to bottom right, a F-16 Fighting Falcon, a F-35 lighting, and a F-22 Raptor.

A little rainbow action with the stormy weather tonight. The camera didn't pick up how vibrant the colors really were, but I assure you it was a good show. The show lasted about 15 to 20 min, start to finish.
Edit: It's worth noting that the camera is facing almost due south, so the setting sun is shining right to left in the picture. Also there was about 10 min between the pictures taken, though the camera settings were not the same for both pics.

Thank you Skye, I thought you would like them :) I'm fascinated by the effect of the filtered light on the inside of the arch, as the source of the light is coming from the outside of the arch. I don't understand the physics of it, but I do enjoy the effect.
I don't remember seeing that effect with rainbows when I lived in the lower 48. IDK, maybe I just didn't notice it until I started taking pictures of them.

The one on the left is one of the best rainbow pics I've seen. Nature is generous most days, extremely on others :)

Damn Pharmer, that is mighty high praise from someone with your experience and skill, thank you.
I'm pretty sure I just got lucky with those shots, but like the old saying goes, I would rather be lucky then good :)

So I had one more rainbow pic from the last set that I thought was worth processing. I wish I had a wider lens handy when I was taking these pics, as the pics I got didn't really show it's overall size very well. The other side of the rainbow wasn't quite as vibrant, but was still quite bright, and could be clearly seen all the way down to the tree tops.
It was a big one :)
