When I went on this foray the song in the pic was playing during the drive. Some awesome serendipity methinks! The other photos were of the town nearby. For the mushrooms, the first two are a rather bald Amanita Muscaria and the last, I believe is some type of Cordyceps.

A north going moose, and a south going moose around dusk, on the far side of the lake.  (both bulls, if you look close)

That colt is growing so fast,  I expect to see him flying soon. 

 

If you can't tell by the pic, WE GOT SOME RAIN!!! 

 

It's not been much, but it has brought cool air with it so we are so much happier here, and it has also helped clear the smoke out of the air.

It's plywood, resin, mica powders and a whole lot of magical glitter.. So far. There are6 coats so far. Two to go with a lot more glass involved.

So I caught junior taking a nap over near my potato garden this morning.  He has just started sleeping like his parents, standing on one leg, instead of bedding down in the grass like juveniles. 

He (or she, I don't know which) is also starting to take long wing assisted jumps in the back yard.   I expect to see some short flights around the lake by the end of the month.
