its good to see that the bleach pasturization method is being proven over and over

Though I have never used it, it couldn't hurt to pick up some lime to go with it, to keep the contams at bay

;) That one little guy to the far left is showing his gills. Looks kind of like he is smilling or growling.
I always seem to have a LOT of these type of mutants, is this common or something that i'm doing wrong?

funny story. Foaf has done log and log and log, but only used bleach pasturization. The only contam'd log foaf ever had was the only log he heat pasturized instead of bleach pasturized. Don't read too much into this, he probably didn't have the water hot enough, long enough.lots were
but time has proved the tek.

I always have one or two that are weird too. I think they are cool. Just as long as they remain in very few numbers.I always seem to have a LOT of these type of mutants, is this common or something that i'm doing wrong?

actually, its a lighting issue, not blueing. i had a light shining from below, the bluish looking parts is shadows caused by a red lookin incandescent light from below.
log is 16" long, 7" diameter.

used from bleach pasturizing
performs as well as hot water
pasturizing...hmmm....i might
test that out with my next batch...
because when i make logs just
using hot water and lime on a log
i have explosive pinning.....i'm gonna
try the bleach pasurizing tonight...:)
