Mmmmm.  Leeks, fiddle heads and morels.

Great find.

We still have a bit of snow, so it will be a while here.

I love ramps!  Eating them raw is my favourite.  I pickle a batch as well for later enjoyment.

I'm not sure if the red fiddle heads are edible, I may have posted this in the wrong forum, but I may get lucky and have someone with better fiddle head knowledge than me to let me know if they are edible fiddles or not.

Looking closer, they do look like the inedible ones.

Edibles have small fuzz on them, or smooth, and have a tight curl.

If it has too much fuzz and are loose like yours, don't eat them.

A better pic would be nice.

Are ramps a type of onion?

Your question peaked my interest in a little search...
