How are things going now Moon?

I had stopped abruptly! There was a phase where I got very paranoid and felt I had too many jars, it was bad anxiety for me.Then I restarted again, and mooshrooms started to grow. Two strains and they look so different from each other! I had been taking small doses to keep the process going, I feel there is more to the healing process than having experiences, taking it into the body is healing too.

I continue to pray, for the earth, our brothers and sisters, the ones I love, The Hong Kong protesters as well as the police who are brainwashed andor forced to crack down on their own people. I think that although I really dislike to police cracking down on their own people for victimless crimes I think that some are reachable, at least some of them have the ability to change. Of course some are too far gone andor just unreachable, but I must still pray for dreams to come where people can see how we are acting. I also pray for myself to have dreams where I am able to see myself clearly.

Lol, yep, we can get paranoid, been there. I'd say it's not a huge worry for the fuzz to fuck with some small time mush grower.

I've got some Reishi and King oyster colonizing to straight coir. I will keep you updated soon if that works or not.

The Reishi and King oyster colonies pictured are brown rice spawned to straight coir. I spawned them to bulk on Dec 23rd and left them to do their thing untill I checked on them today. To my amazement they have been doing really well and have some nice looking pins. I cross my fingers for some nice medicine and food.

Upclose the Reishi are growing antlers. Reishi antlers are the fruits produced in low FAE setups, when FAE is high Reishi make conks :) I have started doing a thrice a day fanning of my grow area. Lets see if we can get them to bulk up.

love me some reishi.. just love the way it grows and how you can manipulate it, some people have it down to an artform.

looks great, keep up the good work

Did you use the uncle ben's packets for spawn? I remember seeing a tek a while back with those packets but I'm not sure if it was Reishi. I have been having so much trouble getting any germination from My reishi syringe. After talking with the vendor, they say that the print could have frozen, but I think it is more likely that I am doing something wrong. Any ways they are sending a couple extra to me right now . Did you start from spores or did you have a live culture? They look amazing!

I started this particular grow from grain spawn jars, both the reishi and king oyster all from jars. I started from a live culture agar plate I purchased from a vendor, it was really worth it to get a whole agar plate to save time, and overall it was at a fair price 8$ per plate.

The uncle ben spawn is an upcomming project, 3 bags of king oyster and one bag of reishi. I might use woodchips for that king oyster and make a medical tincutre out of the reishi spawn.

Moonless makes a quick fruiting chamber:

This a design always comes in handy when I need a quick fruiting chamber that is a little bigger than the medium size mycobags I use. The basis of the design is a jumbo ziplock bag. These bags can act as a fruiting chamber unmodified out of the box however this quick modification makes it alot better and only requires tape to make.

You start with a jumbo heavy-duty ziplock bag and blow it up.

DSC01245.JPG DSC01246.JPG

Then on the bottom of the bag tape it like so.

DSC01247.JPG

Now the bag has some structure.

DSC01248.JPG

Add some moistened peralite for humidity control, and the trays of fungi and you have yourself a fruiting chamber.

Uncle ben bags work for reishi and king oyster started from a live culture!

I like your trick to make a quick FC out of a ziplock. You can also tuck in the corners of the bag after you put perlite in it, tuck it in inside of the bag, stuck under the perlite. No need to tape it up then, they weight of the perlite should hold it in place.

Here's an update on the reishi tub. One thing I've noticed is tiny spots of green mold growing on the reishi metabolites. I wipe them up with paper towel and the problem never grows any worse. Pretty soon I'll have to ditch the white rectangular container in that FC. Removing it will make more space anyways.

post-159119-0-74840600-1579368155.jpg

There is one Quart container of reishi that is pinning. See the light tan splotch? That is the beginning of fruit!

post-159119-0-33830100-1579369020.jpg

I am a bit out of practice and am having alot of trouble with this King Oyster. No fruits yet they are growing so slowly. The temperature is around 70-75 F and I think that many of the pins have aborted.

post-159119-0-35717600-1579368280.jpg

One small container of Cubensis looks a little funky on its casing layer. The casing is peat moss and verm. I got this picture to show that it is whispy and gray/off white on top with splotches of dense white. My hypothesis is that the gray is a mold perhaps cobweb, and the white is mycelium.

So I tossed the contaminated trays. That one reishi tray never spread its contaminate. Bless!

I've got a lot growing on right now and I don't even have enough space to make all trays from the cube spawn (my usual go to way of growing cubes). Therefore I am doing some invitro. The reason I have little space is because I am growing edibles these days. While edibles are wonderful and joyous to grow, they take up more space than a cubes grow and are the new majority of my growing endevour.

I didn't take alot of picture today, and currently it is too late to snap anymore good ones (I gotta have good lighting for my babies!) but here are some pictures I've taken today!

Excited to see how this works out! I assume if King Oyster is ok with coir, Blue Oyster would also work.

This morning I had some cubes to harvest. Here a picture to summarize my morning <3

post-159119-0-47265800-1579908978.jpg

These mushrooms are truely the most giving of all species I've worked with. The container of Thai Lipa Yai is clear plastic so it had quite a few side pins. This was no problem since I took the cake out of its shell to harvest.

After harvest this is what it was looking like. Some nice blueing :)

post-159119-0-58366400-1579909097.jpg

Before the harvest I did some work in the glove box. Taking prints as well as a clone. Lets see if this clone works. :)

In other cubie new I have the PES Hawaii strain in a container starting to pin. I sure do like these small FCs.

post-159119-0-30758100-1579909160.jpg

The edible mushrooms are doing alright. These are new trials for me so I don't have much to compare it to. Here's the situation with the king oyster. It is from a myco bag and placed in the Ziplock FC. The last picture I posted of it had dried out and stalled pins, so I scraped with a fork and these are the new pins only 2-3 days old.

post-159119-0-85817900-1579909462.jpg

This is my Reishi situation. Its just a tub with peralite and three trays.
