Hello people,

I'm a long time lurker :) I've been growing cubes on and off for the last 10 years. Now I'm taking over a low tech commercial oyster operation because the previous owner no longer has time for it and I think I will need some advice and can't wait to do some experiments and tell you guys about it.

Glad to be here with you guys.

Hello all. Just thought Id introduce myself. I am taking my first attempt at some mycota growth :) Great to see a community like this exists. I have used other communities for DIY things for years as well as Dead related things, but this a new direction for me. Looking forward to the journey.

Hello all! I’ve been actually a inactive member, I joined back in 2014. Well it’s been 6 years and I’ve decided to rejoin the Mycology World!

More to come in the future, just getting all my ducks in a row right now :)

Is Radical Mycology a good book to help me get started with this new adventure?

Hey ALL!!!

I'm brand new here. I taught/consulted on Medi-marijuana cultivation and hydrocarbon extractions in Denver for 10 years where I worked with cancer patients. Now, I'm in CT and am following a new and different path. I wish to learn more about mycology in general but especially as it refers to helping with specific cancers. Can anyone here guide me in learning the most efficient way(s) to grow mushrooms? Honestly, I need it all: tubs, tools, prints, etc. If anyone needs help in other areas, I'm happy to help as well!!!

Blessings to all and stay safe!!!

What's the craic, guys? I am brand new to the forum, having only attempted one mycological grow in 2018 while living in Dublin (hence, the greeting), with fairly good success. I took a sabbatical from clinical medicine after a diagnosis of throat cancer in late 2015, and lived in Ireland for 2 years. I underwent radiotherapy as well as utilizing homemade full-extraction cannabis oil (FECO), mistletoe injections, and mushroom extract. I have done very well, am healthy and getting back into medicine soon (an Integrative practice, doing some very innovative therapies). I also recently started a grow with a GT variety and utilizing a friend's large terrarium. I will post some pics with this post, and would appreciate any advice you may have. I have been following a thread regarding myceliated grain that I find fascinating, as I plan on microdosing my first flush with Lion's Mane and Niacin, and utilizing the mycelium-grain sounds ideal for this.

Well, just wanted to introduce myself, and let you know that I am excited to be a part of this community and welcome any constructive criticism, questions, anecdotes, advice, good jokes, etc!

Cheers.

Looking good! Welcome!

I like the looks of you fruiting chamber, where did you find those clear vented tray like that if don't mind me asking? Or better yet what are the called so I can do search locally?

Thanks...are you talking about the chamber itself? It is an indoor grow room a friend purchased from gluckspilze. It is a very nice setup, but somewhat large and as I stated, much more than needed for a basic shroom grow! I have included another picture of the set-up.

Interesting, spga. That's my supplier here in Austria. glueckspilze.at

They have some great stuff. I have bought a few minor things, such as lab accessories, but my friend, who is a gourmet cannabis grower, and spares no expense on anything, bought this for his cannabis activities and wound up using it for a myc grow. He lent it to me, but as I stated, it is just too much - I am going back to the basics with my next attempt!

Welcome, ProfessorDave! I utilized homemade FECO (along with mushroom extract and mistletoe injections) in 2015 to treat my throat cancer. I am doing well, and psychedelic medicine is my new passion. I left the cold, sterile world of Orthopedics right after my cancer journey and plan on my career 2.0 being in this field. I firmly believe Fungi/Ketamine/LSD/MDMA/Ibogaine/Cannabis, etc. hold more healing potential than anything man could ever synthesize in a lab, and want to help as many people as possible have access to these omnipotent substances. Hope we can chat soon and help each other along the way!

Cheers.
