Very sorry about that, I didn't realize you were doing cakes.

I was just thinking about the weather and that the conditions for wild foraging are just about right where i live. Does this maybe have something to do with a successful grow vs a chellenging grow? Is there a time of year that would be more challenging? Aside from the obvious temp and RH changes.

Update: it got really warm really quick last night and I caught a temp spike this morning up to 80.7, looks like the heating pad can take a break for the foreseeable future. 17 days in and everything looks textbook. B+ are still WAY outperforming the PF, but both looking great. Way more rhizo on the B+ and much more slow growing tomentose(?) On the PF.

So I have 18 jars, 8-10 I am certain are healthy, 2-3 show very little growth but still look healthy, maybe just under achievers, however I have 6 (mostly PF original) that look a little suspect. I just figured out how to safely share photos, so my question is how to best post photos in a way that all jars and areas can be positively identified?

So I have pretty well written off the PF strain. I am pretty sure 6 are contaminated and 3 are stalling out at about 40% with some suspect spots. However the B+ are looking great. If i am not mistaken, this is when the newbie gets to do a little dance...16891d5f652f82d1d2646c199e15bfc2.jpg1b28c0f14f8226ace34f11f7dea0dfa3.jpg

So, I just noticed pins yesterday, now they are everywhere. I am supposed to leave town for 4 days in just a few days. What do I do, birth/dunk them and hope for the beat while I'm away, or can they sit tight for another week?

Well, I was out of town all last weekend and my jars sat in the fridge, came back Monday, 24hr dunk, rolled in verm and put out to fruit. All went well, saw a few pins yesterday morning and today(Saturday)... Tada...

Can't zoom on it, but you're probably fine. Sometimes those chodes just turn into nice big mushrooms, give it few days and see how it progresses.

I'm not terribly concerned about it, but I have a humidifier set to run twice a day and the timer broke today and let it run all day (6 hrs). I was thinking it was just a symptom of too much humidity?
