Hi,

I'm fruiting a mini tub for the first time and the little pins look a bit slimy/deformed to me. Caps are wet to the touch. Can any of you pros chime in with whether this is contaminated (pseudomonas?) or not and whether fruits from this tub will be safe to eat?

Thanks! :)

They're fine. Probably a bit high on the humidity and a really wet substrate. Could use a bit more FAE, but overall those look fine.

Ehh those are a little on the bacterial blotchy side on the caps in my eyes. Comes from fruits being too wet too long from direct misting or a humidifier no set up right. Those aren't really bad though. Best practice for anything bacterial or a little moldy is to make sure to use a heated dehydrator that get to 140f or higher to dry them and it kills the nasties.
