Hi everyone,

I'd like to purchase a vaporizer for use with cannabis *and* Salvia, but i'm told you have to get a specialized vaporizer for use with Salvia. Does anyone know where I can purchase one on the internet of good quality? While I don't want to use one with Salvia until I've had more experience with it, I'd like to start saving up any money i'll need now.

and until i'm ready for using salvia in it, there's always weed :rasta:

thanks.

I have a vaporizor with an adjustable knob on the back. It goes Hot Hot or Not so Hot depending on what you want. If you contact the local head shop you should be able to find out the manufacturer and contact them. They just need to use a different fillament...I think. But these people that make the vaporizors most of the time are small businesses and are usually really helpfull in this regard. Just tell em what you need and they will send you parts to add to your vap.

Dont spend bunches of money on it! The simple models work just as good as the really expensive ones.

Oh yeah and don't forget to turn the damn thing off after using it. I burnt up my filiment by leaving it on all night after catching a really good buz

The volcano is a brilliantly engineered vaporizer. Expensive to buy new, but comes with a long guarantee. With the Volcano, I find that I only use a fraction of the amount that I would with smoking. If your a heavy toker, it will pay for itself in a couple of years (although hard to believe looking at the price tag).

539$ Wow.

Actually, I wouldn't mind paying that much for it, especially considering it has a 3 year warranty. However, I doubt I'm going to be able to afford that anytime within the next few months. After Christmas maybe, but not now. Can you reccommend a cheaper alternative under 150$ (including shipping)?

Hmmm, think about trying to take them up on that warranty with residue on it......seems like a fairly safe offer for them to make whether it has longevity or not:D

The thing about the Volcano is that once all the parts have been cleaned and the bag replaced it is as new. Because of the accuracy of the temperature control, nothing is ever burnt, so the residue which is collected is just condensed vapour. The base which controls the temperature and fan is seperate from where the herb is heated anyway.

Can't recommend it enough, allowed me to switch to vaping full time and stop smoking tobacco.

A volcano will not get hot enough for salvia. A volcano all the way up to 9 looks to only give you 226 http://www.storz-bic...ratur table.pdf

I've found that salvia works best when smoked really hot. I like using a bong, holding the flame right on it. Not sure that a vape would get it hot enough for a good ride, since it works best if you get a lot of smoke really fast.

Yes, but It has to be modified. Most vaporizors won't be hot enough for the sally.

I have a volcano and recently tried using salvia with it, but it didn't work at all. It just can't get hot enough. Too bad though, it would probably be amazing.

Well, about a month ago I ended up getting a Voodoo Vaporizer Kit from a local headshop for 200$. It can reach temperatures of up to 400 degrees F, will that be hot enough for Salvia?

I think that I'll have to get one of the extract bags (like 20x or something), because you can't store too much in one of the herb catridges and i don't think that natural leaves ground up in my grinder would do the trick
