Never heard of the band before, catchy tune but the video is awesome.

Bit heavier

This is really cool and kinda neat since I live very close to a few of the town references in Illinois. Thanks for sharing :)
Great albums throughout his career. Maybe a bit too religious and depressing sometimes.

Most go over my head as I’m not from the area. Tons of references and history. He did it with Michigan too. Was going to do all 50 states.
Heavier for Baph and Rooster. Whoever else needs to headbang. Guess this is hardcore (metalheads I'm sure can correct me 1000x over on that) not a genre I'm familiar with.

I've listened to both of the mention Sufjan albums.
If you're on the fence about investing the time into listening to both I'd recommend Michigan. To my ear it's the better option. It's not like he tapped out all his options on Michigan but to my ear it's the more diverse and interesting.
His stuff is what I call thinking mans' music. The lyrics get deep but there's so much soul built into it your attention is always pulled into it.

Bought tickets to see Turnstile in a small venue. I hope they blow up and sell out arenas soon. I've never heard a band in 2 minutes combine so many things that shouldn't work into perfect songs. Album is 9/10, back end hasn't grabbed me.
Seriously if you like harder rock, 80s, 90s, dance, weird fusions. How does this work!
IIRC first song goes latin.
2nd song is good old 80's hairmetal ballad possibly
3rd 80s dance

7PM EST; Phish will air 8/16/1996. CLIFFORD BALL!
"The Clifford Ball was an absolutely phenomenal, unequivocably religious, amazing event at the former Air Force Base in Plattsburgh, New York, in August 1996. Phish performed three sets and an encore on each of the two show days, of a Friday-to-Sunday event, where some 70-80,000 fans camped on site for three days. "

Some instrumental, I absolutely love this music for things that have speech comprehension. For example reading or playing games where the speech in the music is distracting from your thoughts but the instrumental seems to blend together nice
It is odd sounding but the experimentation really paid off for me after a few listens
