Please "Quote/Comment/Reply to this beginner. I'm gonna try Azures in microwaved LC with honey tonight, wish me luck lol! Right now figuring out what container to use, I think I'm going to use half pint jars with Tattler lids/rings. I'm using info gleaned off the internet and experience starting plants, canning and making fermented beverages.

My azurescens culture took off like crazy on popcorn. I suggest taking it to popcorn as it seemed to eat it right up. I was pretty amazed how fast it all colonized completely. One of three jars contammed, probably my own fault. I also did a large ziplock bag and it also colonized well. After it colonized well, I got distracted with life and it sat for two months or so, and was still fresh smelling. I dug a hole in a raised garden I had just filled up with super rich composted soil, and added in a bag of coir hoping it will take off and fruit out back at some point in the future. Good luck and hope yours takes off as fast as my own did.

I'm prolly gonna put it on a few different substrates cuz I love to experiment. I've done some research and I will try to replicate it's natural habitat. Sand dunes, coastal grass, PNW woody debri, got it, ha! Also temperature manipulation will be a big factor. I've read that Azzies love cellulose, probably not too nutrient rich considering their habitat. I will use what I have... Eastern WA Columbia river sand, Navajo Willow chips (a little birch too), Rye Seed, Raw local organic honey, crappy straw from an old bale, a little alfalfa that's growing in my yard, maybe go down to the river and find stuff Ha!

 I will use what I have... Eastern WA Columbia river sand, Navajo Willow chips (a little birch too), Rye Seed, Raw local organic honey, crappy straw from an old bale, a little alfalfa that's growing in my yard, maybe go down to the river and find stuff Ha!

 

 

 

I'm pretty sure I've read that alfalfa can increase tryptamine content, including psilocybin. Azures are already pretty potent, it would be interesting to see how yours turn out!

I Hope your in a climate zone were your wood lover azures will  survive over winter and naturalize

I only did 2 jars, the color is a lot lighter cuz it's out in the sun (out in the sun just for picure ) . I made the mistake of shaking the one on the left the night I made them and a bunch of liquid leaked out, I guess all of the sp as well. The one on the right started showing signs of life (that I noticed) on July 16th (6 days).
