hello im new here its seems like a lot.  anywho, I going to try and grow some magic mushrooms.  Advice welcomed but one particular question I had was ..... does anyone have a recommendation on where to get the spores (the spore syringes)?  Thank you very much

What would you like to here? Everything is normal for company that has no automation tracking all your data and sharing with other corporations? Or would you rather hear OMG I can’t believe you sent an anonymous Money order to someone that doesn’t have you in their database and sending you and everyone else with consistent tracking to your mailbox? Expect the worst and you won’t be disappointed. Hoping that these folks come through for you! I remember when I ordered spores from the back of High Times from a classified ad. The relief I got from my anxiety when two months later the $10 I sent was rewarded with spores that came with instructions.

I guess I was just wondering if this was common, I do have an account with them and have never had any issues until now. Just a noob trying to find his way and avoid dumb decisions.

Well mushrooms.com responded to my email and they just had a little screw up is all, they recieved the money order and to make it up they are throwing 3 free spore syringes in for the inconvenience. Super happy with them, even though it's been a long time but still they made good with me. I figured out bitcoin so in the future I'm just going that rout to avoid these kinds of issues.

So does anybody know what happenes to Lil Shop of Spores? Placed an order almost a month ago and haven't received products or even shipping confirmation. I called, messages on their website, and emailed 2 people there and was told, "oh sorry we are swamped and will have it shipped out next business day." That was 2 weeks ago and I'm kinda pissed honestly.

So I injected a couple of bags around 10 days ago. One cambodian and one alacabenzi. after a few days the cambodian was showing nice white spots and humidity from increased heat in the bag. The  alac however showed no humidity and upon further inspection I noticed little patches of green. Fuck so I chucked it.

 

The first time I skipped flaming the needle as they come in sterilized packaging it seemed like a unnecessary step. Figured I would try to finish off the alac syringe to try to pinpoint where the contamination happened from

 

 Made a cheap ass still air box and flamed the shit out the needle, she was glowing red hot. Injected a second bag thinking it was my poor injection techniques that did it.

 

Just checked that bag today and I think i see those little green fuzzy fuckers starting to form again. wondering if this could be a bad syringe. Got them from spores101 and they guarantee replacement if you are not satisfied. Problem is shipping is as much as a new syringe so not really worth it to get the replacement.

 

Could this have been a bad spore syringe or likely just getting contaminated during injection?

 

Mostly wanted to try this to get a few different strains of cube, as the grow kit is only one type of mushroom

 

Ordering the sterilized bags from online and they are not very cheap. Basically down 50 bucks with wasted syringe, bags, and shipping. I am working on trying  to find rye grain locally, and switch to teck jars to avoid shipping costs but have not had much success with the grain. I have a pressure cooker just need to get a canning insert or use jar lids to prop it off the bottom. And of course make the pf tek jars

 

Any advice on what direction I should take?

 

The simple solution would be to just stick with the grow kits for cost effectiveness and ease, but I do enjoy the hobby side of it. Trying to get better 

 

Going for bulk spawn method from crumbled up grain spawn.

Back in March I got 4 good syringes from Mushrooms dot com. They arrived super quick by Priority USPS. 

I will definitely use them again. 

 

(I'm one of many people who got ripped off by Source Of Spores. They could probably buy a nice boat with their scam $. Just sayin')

when ordering spores I can only assume snail mail cash or MO payments are the most confidential...
What are thoughts on using credit card? I understand the trail aspect..
Snail Mail option is long route for today’s time and sending money is sketchy at best.
Trying to figure out the best route for me to get what I need for experiment. Looks like SW will take c.c., but other seemingly reputable suppliers only do cash or MO.
