Sorry Cuboid,  I don't know of any UK vendors but I will say that you can do agar with a glove box.  I just started a few months ago and have had minimal contamination.  Just have to do due diligence on the sterile procedure.

I asked here as well because it's been awhile and I didn't know about not having luck finding the vendors that used to be here. I was in a bit of a rush and I understand that is not usually the way things work. I had a small amount of sterile? spores left over and several prints that were taken from outdoors that now I know need to be cleaned up before use. I'm totally going to do that but now I'm in need of Petri and agar prepared already. I found some but just need to take the time to learn about the different types and what's best for me. I also have some fresh spores on the way for current use. I'm just glad that this site is still here.

Hawkseye aka Mushrooms was my favourite and I always ordered from them with absolutely no delivery or grow problems. Only problem I have now, is that I already have every psilocybin variety that they're selling haha. And they don't do credit cards anymore, bummer. So now sporeworks is my next favourite. I got those pretty penis envies from them. Will definitely keep on supporting them.

Glad to hear this. Also, Sporeworks takes Bitcoin. Good stuff so far.

On my first run I used spore depot for syringes and shroom supply for injectable rye bags and manure based bulk sub. Aside from being a bit pricey I Had no issues with any of it except my own jack-assery trying to mess with it too much... lol.

Any faster way to pay them besides mailing in a payment or apple pay?

Yeah, but they charge you extra because the transaction is through foreign banks. That can raise flags you may not want raised. Just saying. Bitcoin avoids that.

They may, but they are still going to process it through those banks.

I assume there is a reason they are avoiding banks here in the US - That just sounds like something I would rather avoid, plus the extra charges.

I may be wrong but I don't think that's how it works, maybe I'll go reread their FAQ's

I tried to use spore works last week and the process wouldn't go through on the website. I then went to sporestore and the process was started last Monday and I am now getting a email response saying it will be 1-3 days from today that they are shipped. My wife and I did research that SW is using foreign banks. We just bought a house and do not want the red flags ourselves so we used SS instead. I wouldn't exactly have anything bad to say about SW though. and SS has been really slow but I am not complaining. I didn't want to start the grow until September anyway when I have more free time. - In the future if discussion is frowned upon regarding vendors I will just keep all of you in mind to PM about it in case I need more experience or have questions.

Edit: By the way, as far as I know, SS uses foreign banks too, I don't know and didn't research them. We really didn't use SW because we couldn't contact their support at the time of buying, however, SS was available. Just wanted to clear that up

Another edit: Ouch; after doing some research that I wish I had done first I found that sporestore seems to hand out either: Nothing at all, or you get a contaminated syringe. I think i've seen so many reviews on viable sites saying this that I should probably lean on their caution and not use the spores from there. Doh..

From SporeWorks FAQ: https://sporeworks.c...-Questions.html

My online order payment keeps getting declined, what do I do now? Our current online processing for Visa / Mastercard / Maestro is handled by a non-USA bank. As a result, difficulty may be experienced for cards not authorized to be used outside the USA. We encourage customers experiencing difficulty with the online checkout to place their order as a "Phone Payment by Credit Card." Please submit your order as a "Phone Payment by Credit Card," and someone from our customer service team will attempt to reach you during business hours to complete your order. Our phone order support hours are between 9am and 8pm EST Monday through Friday and 2pm to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, when completing orders by phone, we can avoid the 10% processing surcharge. Orders may also be paid through the mail with cash, check, or money order. See below for addition details and instructions.

How safe is my credit card information? Your credit card information is safe with SSL certification protecting the checkout process and Authorize.net ensuring security of the credit card processing and transmission. Our secure credit card processing system allows us to process your payment using our own merchant account via protected servers without 3rd party processing such as PayPal.

So your CC info is safely handled, but make no mistake. You engaged in trade with SporeWorks. Not illegal of course, but I am sure with some imagination you can see potential issues should you ever get accused of doing something I "know" you are not doing - after all this is just for "microscopy".

Now, while Bitcoin is not perfectly anonymous, it is sure more anonymous, it is certainly better than CC payments.

This is even more the case with personal or bank checks, or money orders - those get routed to banks or the post office, - you get the picture.

Does anyone on here use Source of Spores? I have used them before and got a good product. I placed an order last week and usually I get notification of shipping pretty quick. So far nothing. I went to check their website and see if there was an option to check on order status and the website is down. Anyone know if something happened and I should be concerned?

On my first run I used spore depot for syringes and shroom supply for injectable rye bags and manure based bulk sub. Aside from being a bit pricey I Had no issues with any of it except my own jack-assery trying to mess with it too much... lol.

I got a B+ syringe from TSD Aug 2nd and started some jars that night(steamed them in a pot 12+ hours before inoculating) that still haven't shown anything! I already had a syringe of Burma and one G.T that were 3 years old also from TDS. I inoculated 5 jars with 3 year old Burma on 7-31 now 2 are 90-95% and the rest 65% or less, threw 1 out. I started more on 8-12 with the 3 year old G.T. and brand new B+, and both the GT are at 30% and the 3 B+ show nothing. I started more Burma & B+ 8-17 and the 2 Burma are showing. The 3 year old syringes were forgotten about and kept in a drawer in an un-air conditioned space that probably got up to 95+F. They both had globs of black/purple spores and the brand new B+ had no clumps, but you could just barely see that there were spores and they were in the solution, rather than in a clump. The B+ was shipped to me in a small box with the needle attached, not in any bag or anything. Just in the box, in my mail! When I ordered from The Spore Depot 3 years ago, I think they came in individual bags and definitely had more visible and viable spores. I ordered a syringe of Blue Meanies from them thats on it's way to me now, and that will be my last test for that vendor, and I will be ordering from Spores 101 soon also. The only vendor I've used other than TDS, was Sporestore who are actually located like 25 minutes away from my house, but none of the cubensis(B+,G.T) syringes had spores, I even looked under a microscope, NONE! I have a 3 year old oyster syringe from Sporestore with visible spore clumps that I will try soon, but I wont buy from them again. Anyone else have issues with TDS?

with the needle attached?! That is crazy! Very surprising to hear, because the experiences I have had over the past year have all been very very positive. Individually wrapped needles and the syringes labelled and globs of spores in all but one syringe, which was comparatively skimpy (though I did successfully inoculate some grain with it, despite that. )

I've been lucky over the years I guess. I've dealt with pf, ralphsters, little shop of spores, and sporeworks. Never had a problem. But I haven't had any dealings with vendors for many years.

The only bad dealings I've had were buying prints from Reddit sellers. Specifically one that sold me a cubensis print labeled pan goliath. I have four more prints from that guy, but I fell like he labels them as needed to sell.
