So we always post the good grows. I thought I'd mix it up and show the good, the bad, and the ugly.

These first two I tried at 1:4 spawn to sub ratio. Now I don't think that's related to the poor tubs problem, and the two tubs aren't a direct comparison. Different strains, different genetics. Posting them together because they were both spawned at the same time, both at 1:4.

This is Treasure Coast

Here's the bottom of that same tub.

That's first flush. Insanely fast. 7 days from spawning. Went from pinto that in less than 48 hours. Its working on third flush now.

Here's the 1:4 Orissa India. This is from today 10 days after the Treasure Coast flush I'm guessing.

I'm sure this is highly bacterial from less than adequate pastuerization. It pins and they abort or rot. I've picked 4 small mushrooms from it.

Here's the other two Orissa tubs. Spawned 1:2.5
All the tubs in this post used Black Kow at about 25 percent. Not typical for me.

That one did pretty good. Working on second flush. Minimal to average side pinning. This next one lost its mind:

Not a great canopy, but on the bottom, a solid mat of mushrooms over an inch thick.

Now although the yield was great. That may was a pain to deal with. I'm sure it was due to me going overboard with the substrate level holes.

And if you look close, that last one had green on the bottom. So I'm afraid its been tossed.

Hot damn you get some action on the bottoms!

I've never had that kind of action on the bottom just from the sides and top.

That last one with the green is a great candidate for outdoors. Hack that end off and put it in direct sunshine for an afternoon and give it a UV cleanse by mother nature. Flower pot or the graveyard for me.

Oh yeah. I really wish I could. Not in a good place for outdoor though. Only one flush out of that too. I'm sure it would make monsters outside.

Hey, JK, are you fruiting on wire, metal shelving? I see mats across the bottom I. Those shelves and I’m too lazy to line them...The micro-climate down there is similar to the sides and I often see a solid mat like in ur photo.

Yep wire shelving. I'll usually get some pins or a fruit or two. But this one was insane. It was like a brain teaser puzzle disassembling that. The top one was matted as well, but nothing like that bottom one.

That’s almost like a crop circle. “Insert aliens meme”
