So, interesting enough today a friend walks over to me at the green house I'm growing in and says hey I have some dried Hawaiians at my house care to partake? My first thought was....Yes I will take a few caps with me for the agar plates that just arrived.....till I said it out loud and he replied "no I meant to eat them now".... I laughed and told him I had running around to do still and asked for a rain check. He was gracious enough to give me one full dried cap for the road and said "eat that later and let me know I only usually take one cap". Now I am not sure how much one needs , but I'm not eating all of it...nope this just became a dried Cyanescens / Hawaiian cloning thread success or failure.... got to love how the universe works....ill post photos later for the group.

That’s some synchronicity! Maybe these will work out better than the last!

Cyanescens and Hawaiians in agar!!!!! could not find polyfilm anywhere around my community but I did find a pressure sensitive vinyl that is what is around the outside of the plates...it seals with no air pockets. I'll post as they go along.

Does not look or act like cyanescens mycelium. It should be brilliant white and feathery & thick, not individual hair-like strands. The only exception i have seen is cyan mycelium in a food it does not like ...like leaves. I put cyan in 100% wet leaves and it made hair-like tentacles to bee-line it out of the leaves. Still though I would say that is a competitor species ,maybe a mold/bacteria etc.

Keep an eye on it. No harm in watching it expand and reporting back.

This morning's update, some new growth with the Hawaiian and if this is not mycelium of the cyanescens what is it?

Looking like a strike two.......get ready for the 3rd attempt... I dipped both Hawaiian and Cyanescens in peroxide first then on to the agar....I let go till there was no more fizzing bubbles...I hope that does not kill the mycelium potential.

Definitely weird to see, what pray tell is going on here......The Hawaiian has a line running up against the wall where there is another formation... Not sure if you can see it in the picture. And there is another formation growing on top of the other I'm at a loss as to what that could be.

This one is my third attempt I dipped both the caps in peroxide until the bubbling stopped sort of drip dried them to remove as much liquid as I could so it last drop would come off and then put them into agar they look alive as well I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for I will leave this up to you guys to tell me right or wrong.
