Here are phots taken just now of the mycelium in the agar cups, which is continuing to expand. I hope someone here can guide me as to which areas of the growth to harvest for inoculating grain with. The thin whispy outer parts? The more dense looking outer parts? I await your counsel, with thanks.. 

 

Just look for the most vigorous solid white parts.  You normally want to avoid parts that are touching the edge (cut before then) but that's just a precaution and probably won't matter in most cases.

You literally pointed out the spots that I like as well, the first pic I would definitely pull a piece from the middle left circled, and the 2nd pic I like the very top Circle.  Happy Turkey Day to All.   :meditate:

MOFO! 4/6 trays turned green/grey. I believe when I cold lime pasteurized some hay was floating. Forgot to add a weight.
I'll save you guys the horror pictures. Hoping the two trays can flush once for more prints.

In other news back to my swabs for germs.
