I had LC sitting forever plus some layered grain/manure/verm jars to try LC with 1% sugar used to hydrate a substrate.  It sounds stupid.  It's probably not going to happen.  So short on time, I just opened the jars and poured in the LC in front of the hood.  If the LC  was reasonably viable and clean I don't see how there can be enough residual nutrition in a 1% LC left to set for the amount of inoculant.  Shake it all up and see if I can make a mycelium milkshake.  Or something.

Nothing much to report. I have 3 bags of Wild Coast clones going and a bag of Nec D.

I just tried the Wild Coast (first pan trip in about 9 months) last weekend and all I can say is "not gonna stop growing that!" Strongest pan I've had to date.

I cranberry tekked 0.5g of the Wild Coast and 2g of RustyWhyte and thought I'd have a mellow time. It hit hard in about 15 minutes

and I went right to level 4-5. Fully immersive DMT-like experience. Came on so fast I could only get out one thought "oh shit we're doing this one huh?"

And once again, just an amazing spiritual experience. It has done nothing but recommit me to growing this amazing species and trying

to get the word out to others to give it a try.

Been working on my new fruiting chamber tonight. Waterproof leds on each shelf and I'm piping

in mist directly to each shelf via PVC. Still need to drill the mist holes. BlueHelix built me a new

temp/humidity controller and shipped it today. Really excited about this humidity probe. It is

industrial strength, very accurate and very fast. Probably waaay overkill for this application.

That looks stellar brother!

I'm doing a tub that will incorporate some of the exact tings you are adapting from BH's stuff-- (namely the PVC for mist distro)

You better be documenting your build out so you can publish it as a play-by-play for us myco-porn addicts

What are you using to fog? My setup uses a 5disk fogger in a 5gallon bucket with an aquarium heater blown in with a 12v squirrel cage computer fan running at 5v. The humidity controller is slow and the fogger is oversized so it takes a bit more fiddling than just setting it and expecting it to be hands free. If it wasn’t in the garage it would be a bit more consistent.

Is it built with a raspberry pi or some such?

I could probably use a 5 disk instead of this terrarium fogger for mine. I built a JOC tent and have trays from bulk bags reconsolidating now of ho kipa and the wild pan from zapodan. Aussie and necd behind it. Also trying out a couple handfuls of pan cakes for hell of it. Gonna see how the pan cakes do for print making.E8FD9370-CF6B-413E-BD2B-04663F6B16B2.jpeg 5D66C719-6DA2-4194-B192-B639FC6E24F7.jpeg 54301148-6D1C-4900-B7A4-EE6D6131545B.jpeg
I got a bottom on it now plastics off

JR, I am using a 3 disc fogger from House of Hydro. The thing is a beast and plenty for the new tent.

The fogger fan will always be on to keep the FAE at a constant slow trickle. All FAE and fog is piped to each

shelf through the PVC which has 1/4" holes every 4 inches across it. The heat source is a ceramic 120 watt heat bulb

that will be internal to the tent (under the bottom shelf and I know that sounds scary) and I will have two PC fans on a

speed controller that will circulate the heat/fog at the bottom of the tent. The humidity probe itself (not the controller) is

made by Dwyer and was like $100. From testing, Blue Helix told me it's extremely fast...like 15-30 seconds - which blows

my WillHi out of the water.

Yeah I use the same controller and probe you have now likely. Let me know how you like the pvc setup, I just pipe in the fog through a hose until it basically goes positive pressure, the slow controller guarantees fhat. I use a seed mat in the bottom of mine. You may want to put something like foil faced foam between the trays and the bulb to keep the heat from being direct to the next shelf above. I used to run mine like yours with fans, but I’m not using them since the rebuild. I am considering putting a bulb under my actual FC where fogger and controls live. The air intake is in there. Total temperature control would be ideal. My concern with fans in the bottom Is spreading contamination like spores that may tend to fall to the bottom and stay stuck in the moisture. The heat source in the bottom creates a little passive airflow.

I'm putting reflectix on the bottom shelf. Heat will be under that. I think I will also have reflectix on the sides and top but leave the

front just clear plastic. You have pic of your setup? Sounds like it's similar to what I will be running.

How are you covering it and making access? 6 mil plastic and zipper?

https://mycotopia.ne...ete-pix-inside/ here is a thread to the original build with an update. The current FC looks like this minus a length of hose that comes up the back and fogs. There have been a few other changes and the current build is really sort of temporary to make it easy to modify if need be. It’s in the garage so it’s insulated.

Oh that's cool, JR. I like the idea of the full enclosure a lot. Now I'm second guessing my design lol.

How are you covering it and making access? 6 mil plastic and zipper?

Top, sides and back will be covered with 6 mil plastic and enclosed in reflectix. The front will be a lighter weight plastic that is more clear and I'll add zippers so I can open it up.

If I had the room for what you are doing that’s what I would do with a few modifications. Metal duct tape and iso board from roofing distributors make building an insulated enclosure cheap and easy. Paintable plastic like for building shower enclosures is also cheap and easy. I did this to make it stealth and padlockable, but I manage to grow mexicana and pans in a garage that gets into the upper 30’s some nights. But you see how full it is. The room you’ll have is a luxury I wish for right now along with working indoors lol.

You've got me thinking how I might be able to build a tub for this rack to sit in. That part has me stumped right now. I want something

a little better than a box made out of 6 mil plastic. I really do like your setup though. Got my brain spinning out a bunch of ideas.

Can one of you explain the 5 gallon buckets please?

Not clear on it's function.

Shower pan liner sheeting. Or a drip pan for an air conditioner unit. Or just fabricate one from any handy material and paint it. Redguard at Home Depot or Aquadefense from Loews or Floor & Decor will let you paint anything and make it water tight.

Not clear on it's function.

5gallon bucket is a water reservoir. Inside is a House of Hydro fogger disk. You blow air into the bucket and a “dry fog” comes out the other side. It’s like a reptile fogger with a huge water capacity that you can dial in for your needs. Mine also has an aquarium heater in it to keep the water at 78F.

The box circled in red houses a fan and has a hepa filter on it. It is the intake. It blows air down the blue hose, pressurizes the fog in the bucket which goes up the green hose into the FC.
