I posted the thread that has the materials. For $35 you can make a lifetime supply. It's Trisodium Phosphate (TSP), sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate
To 1 quart of hot water add:
- 1 Tablespoon baking soda
- 1 Tablespoon washing soda (aka sodium carbonate)
- 2 Tablespoons TSP (trisodium phosphate)

Good luck coastal! I have 3 different wild coast LC's going for the next round and I pulled some old school
pan jams and bama out of storage to see if I could revive it. Don't see anyone growing jams any more so I
thought the world could use some new prints.

It will do that sometimes. Let it grow out a little more and let us have another look.

I'll sneak a pic off the original...all sorts of various shapes on there...one sec...

Yeah, it will grow out like that sometimes. Estero may be cambo and I've seen that type of growth
with the "jambo" variety and it fruited fine. It's not what I like to see...but really take that with a
grain of salt. I think there are preferred pheno's but that doesn't mean squat really.

Here's the Pan trays I cased yesterday in the new FC:
Left to right:
Tampanensis var Atl#7
PanCamJam "JCM"
PanCyan Wild Coast
You can see the Cam's have a bulge in the sub on the top left-- I couldn't get the casing to cover because it's so vertical in the bulge there-- you think I should pile on casing there to cover or leave it alone?

The good news is I’m having a great grow day with these three trays and my “open pour LC” experiment has pins too. The bad news is I took 3 trays out suspected of mold before I realized one of them was just a blue bit of layover. Pan Cambo Jambo tray on the left and Pan Cyan WTXGC (those need a better name) pinning hard at 80F. These survive the power outages during the record freeze when it was 36F in MY HOUSE. Luckily the FC in my garage is insulated with foils faced foam. I’m still bummed about the ones I’ve had outside I don’t think I can make pin. Day time was perfect for them, night time not so much.
First picture is Jambos and the two fuller trays are TX, all are 2nd Generation I believe except for the open pour LC which I believe is Key Island and it’s so experimental just that tiny little cluster of three pins is pretty exciting. The TX seem to improving every time I grow then so I expect it’s me doing something. Maybe because I held them to consolidate for 3-4 days while things were sketchy
Do you all consolidate before casing? After casing? I’ve been casing with 1/8” so they run the casing in a day and I go straight to fruiting.

Thanks man-- I appreciate the observations.
I had really bad dripping from the lid raining onto them both for the first two days before I adjusted room temps and airflow to stop it, so they're really soaked. I worried that it matted my casing so much it could have removed the microclimate needed to pin. I will keep an eye on them.

You may have a problem, but if it’s the Jambos, I bet not.

I left the FC lid partially open for several hours today, and the casing moisture is a little better.
Closed it all back up to re-humidify the air (room humidity is ~35%) going into the cooler evening. May do it again tomorrow if needed. I lowered the water heater a couple degrees to help inhibit the condensation, and it's worked well and the interior is still right around 76-78 degrees.
Keeping my fingers crossed-- I kinda went in having low expectations for these trays, so if they aren't great, that's OK-- they were more experiments to test viability of cooking subs in the meal prep containers in my tiny-ass PC.
The Wild Coast mycobag is the one I'm hoping "pans" out
I can see the spawn mycelium reaching out from the grain today-- so this time next week it should be ready if all goes well.
