Just make an edit like cropping it to an unnoticeable change as you save the photo. Let me guess? IOS? Not knocking the apple, but only does that sideways shit when I use my phone or Ipad. I gave up on trying to fix everyone's rotated pics long ago. It does suck donkey something!

Lol good luck brother. I'm sterilizing my jars as we speak. Been a while since I've done such a small batch of grains(6 quarts). I usually do bags. Should've seen me looking at the pile of grains draining. It was just sooo small for all the work I'm putting into it lol. Oh well it'll be a good experiment.
Edit: lmao just saw what the jar was labeled

You have to remove the exif data from the photo before uploading ...

Remove the exif data of those same photos and they will upload normal. Been through that so many times it aint funny...usually happened when uploading from my phone. I don't know why this is happening but it frustrated the heck out of me until I was told to remove exif.

I remove the exif with a program called exif remover, got this tablet specifically for the OMC so I can run a VPN without having to deal with it all on my phone. So this is my OMC tablet now. Two of those pictures are fine though? Idk I'll do some test posting in the proper place soon and figure it out.

Anyway no matter I'm excited about this LI run! My first LI and it's all out there for everyone to see. I think I've got a good moisture content in that grain though, hoping it takes off like crazy!

I forgot to ask are we going to shake? I shook after PC and after inoculation.. maybe after 48 or 72 hours we both shake?

So until I hear otherwise I will not shake this jar, and I will handle it as little as possible. I'll take a pic in a couple days

You are taking an early lead!
I was expecting this to be about the same speed as G2G but I'm not seeing the growth I normally would yet!

Generally Li is left to rest for some hours to recover after the shaking/extraction ... what's happening here is it is likely resting where it lays. Or did you rest ? I did a bunch of G2G vs LI experiments and I was sure LI was slower until it had a BAM moment and then it overtook it.

Not to say that will happen with LC ....

So I shook the jar of colonized grain, then added water by sterile methods, shook again and sucked into a syringe. Was very visibly full of myc. Like very full of myc. Then used the 5ml to knock the jar and didn't shake so much as rolled the jar around to distribute it. Since then it has been undisturbed. Even when I moved to take the pic no grains were disturbed.

Sounds like good procedure ... all you can do is wait & contemplate. Should be interesting.

My only experience with LI comes from using popcorn which has lots of air-pockets between kernels that fills with thick mycelium. Stuff pulled from WBS would be just fine one would think but we shall see how it goes.

We are at the early stages.

I'm excited either way. Made 36 extra cc's from that grain jar, need to use it by tomorrow so I'm gonna make up 6 more jars and use it all up. Since this is my first attempt no results will be conclusive in my mind, and further experiments will be needed!
