Introducing rotisserie terrariums!

If you find yourself always eating rotisserie chickens this is a great way to recycle the containers.

Its concept is the same as the tubs.
Drill holes on all sides of clear lid and tape. Then spawn your bulk to tray. The trays depth is 2 in. You can add more holes depending on your FAE needs.

Let colonize, then when fully colonized either case and wait a day or remove tape and stuff holes with polyfil and introduce to light. I also stuff the 2 holes it comes with on top. I usually case and if you do too, then check every now and then to make sure it's not getting dry. Mist it if it is and other then that, wait til fruits are ready. No need to fan.

These and their small size also allow you the ability to take cleaner prints because you can take the container to your LFH or SAB with the fruits being protected by the enclosed container and its polyfil.

Happy growing!a55c06eb1acad304eba6e7705e16cca3.jpge602357bf6730566f0509213ee8e306c.jpg090a2a77df8881fffb72e174a13753b0.jpg221c7b4edddcd3a979f849586e51256f.jpg8383027ccd331707d81ca1224856267c.jpge052165d164ad793ffc98a2b94c1439b.jpg

Great idea! Do you use a liner in the tray to reduce side-pins?

ElPirana,
I didn't use a liner for the one in the photos and had no side pins, but I have done it before with a liner and it works well. The top fits fine with the plastic from the liner hanging slightly over the trays lip.

Stroker,
I typically do a 1:4 ratio of spawn to bulk. 1 quart jar of spawn is good for 2 trays. I like to layer so I put a thin layer of bulk first, covering the bottom, then evenly sprinkle some spawn on top of that, then a then layer of bulk on top of the spawn to where it covers the spawn. I do that until I reach the top. The tray holds a total of about 4 1/2 cups of substrate if you are gonna case and a little over 5 cups if not.

This is a update but not a great one. Excellent growth tho the next posts will be pins and fruits. Thanks for the advice on container choice I was really tired of 6 oz dubtubs cramping my style when I had some contaminated jars and couldn't do a bigger tub. c72d86ee6244c1e154280d326a3f32c6.jpg70573a2c56953162ed9feb10fe13c158.jpg

Man this is freakin awesome!
I want to do something a bit bigger than cakes but I didnt wanna do a big ol tub. This looks so awesome and perfect! I have cakes that I would use as my spawn. What would be best to use as a first time bulk sub for these tubs?

For my bulk sub, I always like to use horse manure. IME I get bluer and more potent fruits and hardly ever have problems with contamination. Any bulk will do though. Coir works fine. If you shred that cake finely, I'd say one cake would be enough to spawn one tray.

About 9 it looks good in there I'd take off the lid but it's not worth the risk yet I will have better pic once I harvest first flush. The pins look strong tho I'm hoping this with the dome and the fae helps me get bigger fruits. I dont care to use small containers unless I get trapped with spawn and not having enough.

More lid pics. I try so hard to get a decent pic because there is gonna be a blowout when these babies start maturing. Both containers came out so well. I'll try to refrain until better pics but dam geena its looking good in there7904c487d87bf6d90585072370642209.jpgfa9214e5afa2c47777b8527d5f42c4b6.jpg

I can appreciate the idea. Curious to see how crazy it gets when they grow. I had some hitting the top of the 6qt dubtubs. I can only imagine they’re gonna hit the top of that and then some.

It's looking good idk how large they will be. Not bad for having a jar laying around wondering what to do with it! I'll send some more when closer.00479dc8aeff852d17c9ba31b3d647cf.jpg03125cc29bb0ddf16ff9d32e19f93524.jpg
