I've been getting really nice results like this ...
I boil my material in a little clear vinegar and h2o, then strain it keep the liquid and add my base to it. And I dont worry about over doing it. I check the ph , I want it really based out on the first pull. When my xylean is saturated I wash it by using about half as much sodium hydroxide to the original amount of h20. I do this in the sep funnel and cast off the "dirty low based h20". I have also done this with liquid amonia and h20 as the wash. It leaves your zylean free of most all of the fats and other trash (including the white skin some would leave you to believe needed to be removed) you would be otherwise left with. Then follow what ever route to salt it out. I use 4 drops of 38% muratic  to 250 ml dh20 to 600 mls of saturated zylean. I know this is the most  unscientific  post I've written...but this has worked and I wish it would have been broken down for me this way. If you understand the chemicals and their action on your molecule you are after then this post will make sense.

Thanks fir discussing this here. I'll add 50 ml MEK to a thin glass tube then I will pull off the solvent with a syringe.
I expect the crystals falling to the bottom then it shold be easy getting at the MEK with the remaining resins.

I don’t think one would want to evaporate the MEK because the nasties would just end up back on the product.
I’d use something tall and narrow that would allow pouring solvent off the top without disturbing the crystals at the bottom - like a test tube.
Save everything and if you mess up just evaporate it all and start over.

Good catch, Norman. I should have been more specific and said to pour off what could be poured and boil off the rest.

Dried mescaline HCI

The taste is bitter, of course. I'd love to give it another wash to get mescaline fumarate but I can't get methanol anywhere.

Nice yield!
What was your starting weight?

Can you find Heet gas treatment?
The yellow bottle is methanol according to some people that I trust.
I wonder if fumaric in MEK or isopropyl would work as well.

I will research a bit on that. Including the starting weight. Glad I have some pics of the cactus and I still own it.

What attracted me to this thread is the title. IMO bridgesii gives good yields.
Here‘s a large cutting I cut this piece out:

It‘s 10 inch and 3-4 inch diameter. I still have 1/3rd of it in the freezer.
Sorry don’t have the weight.
I also have the crown and the base so that I know exactly what I can expect from this particular bridgesii.
