Beat up this block to try and give it a chance with all the side pins. My FC tends to dry these blocks out so I'll baby it when I can.
I'm considering putting it inside a trash bag or grocery baggy to increase humidity.
Culture always mats...May fork it up

Enthusiasm is cool shit..... Cyans too......fluffy damp layering of substrates and spawn with healthy incubation periods in between expansions......
Good FAE for incubation and humidity.....woodies like it cool and damp.....

Careful you don't over do it.....just sayin.....
Your process is sound and so you're just missing a little bit of time and changes in seasons.....
Starting now makes next fall a serious possibility for cyans.....a good mass of mycelium spreading upwards into a mulch and soil casing then reaching damp air.....
Keep the wind and sun off them.......ground temps dropped from warm to upper 40's to low 50's F......good drainage and always damp....outdoors it can just rain like hell on them.....
Freezing ends fruiting for certain.....doesn't kill the fungus but fruiting is over.......
Woodies rule......IMHO

Nice Peenaopy.
Are the frenulum's related to conditions or just genetics?
Roughed up this overlay hoping it pins as the sides finish off.
Pinning all along the block. Glad I removed it from shoebox.
So I've cased this culture as you would PE. This time I tried a thin pan-like casing. HMMM
