Here's how the KSSS monotub first flush turned out.  I thought the pinset would be better, but this isn't so bad.

Elpirana what did you use for spawn and bulk?

Ksss produced the heaviest mushrooms I've ever seen in person, like 28g+ monstrosities.

This is just plain old coir and vermiculite. Nothing special about it. Spawn to sub ratio is probably around 1:6. No casing this time. Spawn is brown rice.

These KSSS have been kinda weird for me. They didn’t fruit normal in my mini tubs. They are barely attached to the sub, and definitely not any bigger than a lot of others like GT.

I was thinking about my old grows when I was doing a bunch of monotubs and I found some pics. I’ll go ahead and post them once my wife finishes with the computer lol. I used to do coffee/coir/verm all the time.

This is all from 2017.  The house I lived in had a room where I would fruit all my tubs and I converted a closet into an incubator.  At one point I was doing G2G on as many jars as I could and was up to around 50 or 60 jars before I stopped.  All of those were used in monotubs.  Let's just say it got a little out of control LOL.

Here are a couple of big Equador monsters, I think this was on the third or fourth flush of one of the tubs.  I remember at the time that I had had a GT get bigger, but these were right up there.

post-158979-0-52830100-1603679000.jpg

My dehydrator has five of these round trays.  I would fill them up and run out of room while still harvesting, so I found some window screens that I wasn't using, and stack them in layers in front of a box fan in my garage...that way the next day I could cycle the pre-dried shrooms into the dehydrator.

As much fun as it was, I'm glad I don't grow like that anymore.  It really uses so much time.  Nowadays I spend much more time with my family, and still am able to have my hobby for my wife and I to enjoy, and give away some to friends.

Gt's 48 hours into the spawn run..... I'm loving the speed now that I recalibrated my procedure to include squeezing the coir to field capacity ah yez yez the nightmare of overly wet substrates is now a distant memory.

I'm hoping for fruits by November the 10th.

20201027_100205.jpg

Why I stopped hand squeezing the bulk to field capacity is going to be a mystery to me, ah well. I know much better now.

Thanks microbe, that was a giant cap. I cant remember how much it weighed but it was literally the size of a cd/DVD. Gotta love golden teachers in their latter flushes.

Lol forgot i posted the net weight
