Finally got something incubating after three months of inactivity. Have been able to find a less temporary living space so I can get back at it again. Have lined up two liquid cultures from a multispore vial. B+ and Colombian. Will do a small grow with these and clone some stuff from that!

Also I found these beautiful edible species the other week from which I took some prints - put one of them on agar today. These mushrooms only fruit in very specific circumstances, I don't think they pop up more than once a year around here. Good thing I got those spores!

This is Cambodian Gold. The myc isn’t even really touching that wall of plastic it’s sitting on the bottom grew about a half inch along the bottom and up the side. Trippy :D I have heard of ppl taking myc from off the sides of a tub or grow bag before. Is this something you guys think I could do since it looks so awesomely rhizo,? Maybe it’s not all that awesome, I digress. It’s simply the first time I’ve really experienced it. I’m excited!

No sexy mushrooms, I'm just glad that after nearly 50 plates I finally got the hang of wrapping petri dishes correctly

It's nice when you get the hang of things! I was very happy with the plates I poured. I let the agar cool down a little more than previously and also used warm plates fresh out of sterilisation. It resulted in very little condensation on the inside of the plates.

Spores of the Capnoides are germinating very quickly - that might have something to do with that I took the print just over a week ago.

I'm still working on condensation. I've used water, my erlenmyers, and a thermometer to calibrate the cooling time in different scenarios so I can let the agar cool to around 50°C before pouring, I put them all in one stack, I put a jar of hot water on top of the stack if convenient. I still get a few bad ones. I've been cheating, sterilizing some extra petri tops and switching them when I work

If serious cheating is needed, one can refrigerate a plate until the agar is cold and then blow the top with a hair drier for a couple minutes, it moves the condensate onto the agar

I finally got unbanned from "the other" mushroom growing forum and stole a picture of my Burma grow from a few years back.....I use to have more pictures but dont know what happened to them....

Anyways, yea, that was Burma on coir spawn was I think 6l of wbs..... final weight was over 4oz dry

What?! Why not? It's an identical giveaway to the one in doing at the shroomery. Haven't had a lot of interest in it yet over here. Kinda surprised. I'm pretty much getting rid of most of my extra prints. You know I've got you on whatever you want. You've hooked me up many times in the past.

I cant remember if I posted this here yet or not but it's my best GT popcorn jar....innoc'd almost a month ago via fresh spores, not sure if it's considered a fail at this point.

Dang a whole month ago? Well atleast it looks healthy at first glance. I’ve had maybe two jars take that long before and I think it was my temps.
