I will openly admit I am not impressed with the new TOOL album. Agree/disagree?

Agreed It's tool but mostly musicical masterbation from my point of view there is nothing really "profound there". I personally feel that they shit all over the fan base being that this is the final tool album ever. Every song is over 10 minutes  and to add insult to injury 3 of the 10 songs on the album are instrumentals....funk tool they used to be so cool... owell

Who said its the last Tool album?

I cant find this on  the net anywhere

Ok This album is another fucking masterpiece. I don’t have a favorite tool album, I don’t want a favorite tool album. I’m proud of what these guys put together after 13 years of side projects and record label lawsuits. This album gladly gets placed in line with the others.

The most pretentious album of all time. You may love it, but it's a "meh" from me. Maybe I expected too much out of it. That's probably where I went wrong. Maybe I should listen to it for a week straight? I've done that with albums, and they ended up being done of my favorites after I hadn't liked them at first.

I love the album. I don't feel it's meant to be listened to in chunks or skipping tracks. It's an experience, a trip if you will. I was indulging on Invincible and then Descending before the album dropped. At first I was a little ify, but the more I embraced it the more it embraced me. Like many of you heads my time with Tool goes all the way back. Each album reflects where its members were at in that moment of their life. They have matured and so has their sound. I'm diggin the 10+ minute songs. Hell, I can shower and get dressed before Tempest ends.

Rumors can be fun when talking about inconsequential stuff you're interested in like Tool. I heard over the 13 year hiatus they wrote lots of material and we can expect their next album 7/21/2021. This continues the pattern of 7's. It may be bullshit, but it's fun.

Well I must admit..the first time I heard it I wasn't overly impressed..but given that I've had it on regular rotation it has grown on me big time. To the point that I'm living it. How are you finding it now misfit?

I haven’t listened to it again since shortly after this post was made. There are only 2 or 3 tracks I kind of like. But that is just because they sound like a mix of other songs.
But the new bayside album is fucking incredible. Nothing like tool. But that is how a band should put out an album. They didn’t even say anything about it till it was ready to come out then they dropped it. No hype. No marketing. No time for people to bitch about shit. Just dropped it. Dropped it Fucking HOT.

All I have to say is Ehhhh but it's Tool. I wish the wait was worth it like 10,000 but I am left wanting. I'm his recent Rogan interview he did come across as blahhh except for his wine. Maybe next APC will make up for it. But Tool has alas entwined with my soul so I'll keep listening. Keep groovin all !!!

I like the album very much, and yet I still believe that they remain prima donas.  And despite liking the album, I think they owed their fans much more after making them wait 10+ years, putting up with their excuses.

Still, they are on my short list of bands I'd want if stranded on an island.
