Just for fun

They suddenly begin cleaning without being asked

They begin putting dry whole grains in the shopping basket, but they don't cook them very often

They put a bird feeder outside their window and buy the largest possible bag of bird seed

They retrieve jars and food containers from the garbage and wash them

They retrieve jars and food containers from other peoples garbage and wash them

They complain because the jug of bleach is a year and one day old

They mow the lawn without expecting payment, and then start a compost pile with the lawn clippings

They visit rose gardens when the roses are not blooming

They borrow the car to go bird watching all day, usually after it rains

They start taking math and science classes seriously

They listen to shpongle

When you get home the kitchen is spotless and smells like hot potting soil

You keep seeing little gold flakes in the sink after they wash their hands

What did I miss?

That is what is nice about being an adult. Although when my parents house burned down they moved in with me. My mom pulled my pot plants (cbd) and said she didn't care if it was legal. Bummer. What can ya do man. She is still the MOM.

-They become upset with YOUR lack of cleanliness.
-They are very concerned about the small bit of mold on the baseboard and seem to be experts when it comes to mold removal and prevention.
-They suddenly stop getting obscenely drunk every weekend.
- The joyful laughter you heard when they were kids now fills the house again and sometimes they even have that same doe-eyed look about them.
-Your popcorn kernels are missing and so are all of you damn totes come to think of it...
-They run in front of you while you are mowing the lawn to take a picture of a mushroom and tell you things about it in Latin words you don’t understand.
-They are suddenly very fond of cows and spend a lot of time hanging out with them.

Hee Hee.

My kids found my grow quite a few years ago.

They noticed I put a slide lock on a door that has never been locked.

The came up to me and asked what is growing downstairs.

I just told them it was an experiment.

A year or so later they told me they knew what it was, and when they discovered it, they started laughing like hell.

They knew exactly what it was. Their reaction about the experiment told me then they knew.

It is not whether you catch your kids, it's when your kids discover your grows.  LOL

One, when I was 22, I took a couple plants to my parents and my Mom helped me plant them.

That is when I really knew I had cool parents.

When they bring home a dozen shoe box containers and tell you that the old rubbermaid tub takes up too much room in the walk-in closet you grow in and they want one whole side for shelving.  :bat:

Well I'm not a parent, I'm just a teenager in a parent's body, but I would imagine it would go something like this:

~ They clean their room without asking

~ They ask how you're doing

~ They take verbal shit from you and don't return it

~ They try to set a good example rather than complain

~ They treat everyone and even animals like family

~ They feel disappointed instead of angry

~ You caught them praying even though your family isn't religious

~ Their bullshit detector is better than NASA's

~ Calm dispositions/equanimity for a teenager

~ Some days they're suspiciously reserved and private, yet not having sex

~ Occasional talking to self heard from behind closed doors

~ Possible poltergeist activity

~ Pupils dilated so wide you'd think they were Betazoid

~ They make plans

~ They don't drink alcohol

~ You're afraid they've joined a cult

That is tragic. But there's always something you can do.

For example, print these out and leave them laying around...

That just might make her paranoid....possibly enough to follow through on an idle threat? lol

Lol it was some years before my mom asked me what all those jars were in my closet as a teenager. I think she had already put the pieces together by then though as I had already had the "talk" about my cultivation and view of them(and other psyches) as medicine. They thought it was a joke at first but enough people came around speaking about how their experiences helped heal or enlighten them and seeing the change that occured in me and a few childhood friends really seemed to open their minds to it. Dad used to eat acid back in the day but he had a trip start to get too real and scared him off from it ever since. Try explaining your dad's acid trip to him 20+ years after the fact. I think I pissed him off
Edit: it's a shame I would love to trip with my dad
