Short thought here

It is not interesting to think about the people on this site. And how we slowly build up these idea's or images of who each other are. Based on discussions, avatars and names, the beauty is in the imagination of it all.

I often listen to talk radio, you get interested in a person on the show. Finally look them up after a couple weeks or months. They are never like the picture in your mind. More often than not it sort of spoils the idea in your head, wishing one had never sought this out and could put it back in the closet.

So stay anonymous out there folks, I promise to never show you my ugly mug

I chose this avatar forever ago because it amused me and represented how I felt I should look.

Now I look a lot like my avatar, except for the whole black and white aspect.

Life is funny sometimes.

For example, most folks don't know this, but Alder Logs really has a giant dingus growing from where his nose should be.

He sits on his front porch behind a giant Nazi flag and flails his arms at any people-of-color who drive by . . . his avatar picture is just flipped backwards.

For real, they'll let any damn body moderate this motherfucker.  It's embarrassing.

Back in the day, this all used to be cornfields . . .

Alder also has hundreds of man traps laid out at various perimeter lines surrounding his compound.  He's a pretty good rifle shot, should any would-be intruders Dali

I remember listening to Coast to Coast AM (a radio talk show) for years.

I had images in my mind of what the hosts looked like.

Art Bell was John Wayne

George Noory was a wise but homeless man in NYC

John B Wells was Cary Grant

None of them actually looked like that.

I've spent a few years typing a few keys on my keyboard contributing to this site.  I wonder who has pictured me, and how their imagination differs from who I really am.

In the end, who we are to everyone else is just how we make them feel.  The experience of knowing us, complicated as it may be.

I hope I'm rubbing people ... "the right way."  That is my intention.  I often fail.  Oh well... what can you do.  No matter who you are, if you meet enough people, somebody is going to love you and somebody is going to hate you.  Both for all the right reasons.
