So it pinned pretty fast in the FC but it's actually a relatively old culture?

I wonder if absolute age might be more important than ideal fruiting conditions if it's not old enough...

I wonder if it is age too? I also noticed that they receive light from purple/orange/green LED nightlight or maybe it has to do w/nutrient consumption? I remember Capt.Future made a low nutrition sub using grass seed, maybe I'll test that next? Also might try hanging a blue aquarium light? Age is already being tested by all of us. :)

I have a bunch of plates I put in the fridge yesterday that are all clean and grown out.  Different sectors from germ plates now T2.  I was  considering making an LC medley with a wedge from every culture and using that to knock up several small mini grows.  Dawn likes coir/coffee/bran which I would assume is less nutritious than the heavy compost from percentage from my garden tumbler.  Maybe  do like a dozen jelly jars?  Is there maybe a better style container for an experiment like that?

**edit** started back on anxiety meds this week and I'm a little sloppy after work until I adjust.

I hope you are feeling better JR!

That would be a great way to test them, the small jelly jars, especially if you are going to test multiple variables. Make a control jar then jars with your different mixes or ratios.

Here is the one fruit from the MS, 2-cup, WaylitJim style sub. It almost looks like a double, it was cloned right after the pics.

JR, post #58 in this thread, Newmoon is fruiting in a wide mouth 1/2 pint jelly jar so, definitely a good idea.

Yes, 1/2 pint jars did fine. I didn't try any of the 1/4 pint jars, but I can't see why they wouldn't work?

I'm hoping to start another semperviva grow next week or so! Hope everyone's doing well!

I just uncovered three fully colonized trays of Semperviva. Two were green, so only one left. Fingers crossed!

New semperviva grow coming up here:

-The tray on the left is coir, vermiculite, worm castings, straw, sand, gypsum and CaCO3.

-Right side is coir, coffee grounds, bran, sand, gypsum and CaCO3.

-Casing is 50/50 peat/verm + oyster shell and a pinch of sand.

-Trays placed in fruiting conditions on June 24th.

-Fanning for 3 minutes 4x/day, light misting 1-2x/day

-Temperature has been all over the place... from 72-88F. They don't seem to like excessive heat.

They are looking great Don! Is it MS or clone? So far, the first sub looks the best, it'll be interesting to see if #2 catches up. Do you plan to weigh your total harvests for data purposes?

Mine did not like the excessive heat. Staying over 80 seemed to really stress them.

This is a clone culture. I’ll do my best to keep track of yields, but these trays can fruit for up to a year, so things are bound to get confused at some point. I’m just hoping for prints... I think the heat is wreaking havoc on the growth of the caps so prints may not happen until the temperature drops a bit.

Oh that shit is on?"

My mind might be playing tricks on me.  I'm willing to just say that it is, but I might have primordia developing.  It seems too unlikely to say that it is, but if this were any other mushroom I would say that it is.  Anyway here's the Geto Boys to add value to an otherwise pointless post...

So back in March I had made my first grain jars of the viva I've got , in April it turned dark on the bottom so i isolated it and for got about it till now lol agar to coffee infused rye grass seed on 3/18/20
I thought it looked odd so I opened it and found this.
Im fairly certain that in that jar where it's been for the most part clean, that I can get away least 2 clone plates of that fruit. The first time I got 1 out of 5 plates to be clean off the jump T.0.9b15b2955c6f308d6a2a20d9b990f821.jpg420a72083fb9f785da3c89e74ce2a7ec.jpg

Lots of new pins coming up. Some of the caps are sporulating so I should get some (very small) prints.
