I was wondering can anyone tell me has each of these three types been tested with the  Myeclated Grain Tek ?

do all three produce active mycelium ?

or is only Hoogshagenii's  mycelium active ? ?

Enquiring minnds want to know ?

If they are different, Subtropicalis and Convexa do make active mycelium, I haven't grown var. Hoogshagenii yet.

Finally going to hop on this. . A couple of days ago, I spawned nearly 8 month old semps on grain/coffee to a pasteurized compost/coir/straw/manure mix. Let's see how long lived the ever living semperviva's are!a7240bb2cd9df05f029df33826c43fdc.jpge42be904b5e97e53d3c0b7285adeabbe.jpg

I’ve been dealing with health issues and massive home repairs and have not had time to log in in forever. My growing has been non existent except some woodlover jars that sat all spring and summer and 3 bags of semperviva that I never had time to fruit because I was focusing so much on pans. Today I took time to build a place to store all my non essential belongings that have been sitting in tubs which were sitting in front of these bags.

About 3 weeks ago they had to be put in the garage where it was in the upper 80F’s to upper 90F’s for several days. The bags are actually pasteurized which is what I was experimenting with when I had to shut things down. One bag was lost to bacteria. These two definitely saw some bacteria growth which may be what set them off! It’s been below 70F for months except the trip to the garage. The bags were spawned 2/10/2021 as you can see. They are a different strain than I have fruited previously which may explain the lighter color, or it could be environmental. These came from a print of Don’s. One is fruited and the other has pins. I was planning to just let them go another month when temperatures were more favorable, but they didn’t want to wait I guess!

I have no idea what to do with them now.

Decided to case and put the tub into fruiting conditions after I saw 3 pins along the side walls of the tub. I removed the pins for cloning.5287cf65378584af44885ad1b0a44708.jpg08a32c4466b6ca408597630be8cf7688.jpg

Got some jars of oats colonizing with an old clone from my grow last year, going to try a couple small mono tubs and some in vitro bags. Following mycorry's note on another mushroom forum I'm going to swipe some new agar jars soon and let them sit around for a few months to see if I can get pins to clone (I'll try this as well with caerulescens and zapotecorum, neither of which has fruited for me yet).

Streaked my first semp the other day. I was expecting a pan/mex sized cap...WTF bigger then an outdoor cube. Rusty too.

Minimal germ, but I think I got some to tease out. This will be the patience tester.
