Yes - I have a jar of Cocoa Nibs colonizing ever so slowly with semperviva, it should be ready to eat in a couple months. I'm going to slice it (hopefully it doesn't crumble when I try) and dehydrate it, have some Myceliated Cocoa Nib Chips. I mean SLOWLY. It is colonizing at half the speed it does on grain.
As for substrate for the fruiting block, it was 50%horse manure compost, 50% Coir and a pinch of Gypsum. Cased with a Coir/Verm mix.
