I've never seen a Psilocybe other than a Cubensis in the flesh, so I need some help here.

First fruits noticed on 10.19.2019

Something about that color of cap that gets our immediate attention!

The stems on that 1st day were white/whitish and had little rhizos, but not since.

*Note: will go check today after posting this and try and get pics of today.

I'll try to do this in chronological order.

Should I try taking pics of the print again?

I "feel" like the prints are showing a slight purple tint and maybe brown?

It's mostly black and I may be trying to convince myself it's dark purple brown/black?

I don't have a microscope :(

*Thought....

When I couldn't get any bruising, it was "hot" out that day. A little over 70F.

I know when cubies get too hot and shoot up the potency seems to remarkably decline.

I just really really really really really really really want this to be a psilly patch!!!

Because of the slender stipes, spore print, overall form, and no blue bruising, I really think those are some Psathyrella spp.

Definitely not cyan or azure. I can't say what they are but I have learned enough to ID the ones that you hope they are and that's not them. But I can say that I have been in the same boat of wishful thinking though before I learned to ID the good ones.

Concur with Mikey, they are not the wavy tops, stems are much whiter and stouter, and have a definite blueing when pinched. The tops even get blue around the edges when drying. The good news is there are probably some cyans nearby cuz they are often found in the same vicinity.
