I just started a cannabis grow, I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ll address my main concerns and see where that takes us.

1. I have a few plants in a kratky hydro system, I have my hydro solution mixed at a quarter strength for my plants at a ph around 6.5. Which these nutrientsa048547789ed7a78aa0b5c16dba79d04.jpg

This is what my plants look like 60a6802403206d0fb75de952a8fea9b5.jpgd8f13056a6bd9c17c5982a5a37a658f3.jpgca3def9a430bfe9aadf4d503ffb8522f.jpga66cb4c40a612af0aef9341fa6daed46.jpg

This is all the stuff I currently have for hydro144c481fc8f53ada24a08824d0147af0.jpg

I believe it is a K deficiency since these are getting bigger and I really don’t know what I should do to fix this issue. Any advise is welcome I really wanna see these guys take off, I have a Durban poison seedling in soil currently that I know will do fine but I’d like to see these kratky plants do well.

I’m going to remix fresh hydro with a different nutrient solution.

I’ll list my steps

1. Armor Si(0-0-4 potassium silicate&silicone dioxide)197746cc9b050b4ea901a39afa2f0680.jpgit recommends .25 ml per liter which is 1 ml per gallon for mild strength, since I believe I have a K defficiency I’ll not cut this down. I will now get a very basic/alkaline solution so I will bring ph to 6.5 befor mixing nutrientsd63a7acb7de3071f98ca51a0292eeb11.jpgec9c2e8d01478976cde89282064287ce.jpg

2. Fox farm big bloom(0-0.5-0.7) it recommends 60ml per gallon for heavy feeding and before I was only using 5 ml Per gallon so this time I’ll is 15 ml. And re adjust ph every 5 mldc3a7939a29331c79fd5e481587c0fb1.jpg426d5e3f1301ba9b97987a714638e71d.jpg

Looks good to me so far.

3. Fox farms big bloom(6-4-4), I haven’t used this one so I’ll only use at a quarter strength, and I’ll cut out wholly mackerel from the mix a well. It said to use 20 ml for heavy feeding so I’ll mix in 5ml and adjust ph as neededb2a740a95a89a6e7568a104d7763d3fd.jpg

The hydro solution was pushed to acidic from the nutrient so I buffered it down to 6.5 with .25ml ph down

4. Bushdoctor kelp me kelp you( 0.5-0-0.5) plenty of micro nutrients such as copper and zinc, will be mixing at 75% strength(7.5ml) since it has low n-p-k overall, will correct ph ever 2.5 mlc246a84978e0ed1d0672cf4811bb7eaa.jpg

5. Cal-mag plus(2-0-0). We all know what this is, I will be using a vegetative amount(3-5ml),4ml fo now. Ph will be adjusted every ml added5cfe2fa60ccc9284da2063c2a5e17b6b.jpg

And that should be it for the new nutrient solution, hopefully I don’t burn these two plants but if I do I’ll just dilute to 75% strength as a whole

The two larger plants have been changed from a seedling solution to a vegetative solution, the small plants are still in a diluted seedling mix until they develop more roots right before deficiencies kick in.

If anyone has any advice it would be well received, otherwise I’m just rolling with the punches, I don’t know much about this plant I just know I want to produce my own medicine easily and without fuss.

Have you gotten anywhere with the hydro method your using? I prefer coco coir and perlite for grow media 50/50 mix do you have a ph meter?

Those nutes you got will be perfect for coco coir, I didn't do well with any dwc the water where I lived was very basic coming from the tap at 8.7-9 it was well water and very hard water. But with some ph down and coco coir I was able to do big things.

You might wanna avoid using that Big Bloom in hydro. It's got lots of organic ingredients that will give you problems with the roots

Edit: also for future reference cannabis threads belong in Grassroots section. Mod will probably move this thread if they notice it

That doesn't look like a K deficiency to me... k deficiency typically presents as a lightening of the leafs from the edges inward and less of a splotchy look until later on... I initially thought it  looked more like the result of a mite infestation but the other leaves look too healthy for that to be the case.

Ok here are my dudes currently9236e6e1a5757772f3733910540c07db.jpg

The one on the left is exodus cheese and it now has an iron deficiency, I upped the nutrient concentration to see if this will help at all and it seems to have recovered slightly since 2 days ago( the leaves were highlighter yellow).f5b13c6c528c1b3ff260c7898ba57045.jpg1d35c6add23d35f920c2480e66497541.jpg
The two in the right are both Durban poison, they were sown and germinated at the same time. It one point they were both the exact same size so as you can see kratky is not winning any awards for speed of growth. I will say that the Durban poison has taken kratky the best out of all the strains so far.(both put in to there growing vessels 3 weeks ago)abea4442f29b6d1ce06bb31e363c3d16.jpg
The final one is a pile of dog shiesse, it has not grown past this point and is deficient as hell in all departments18c78670475016e549e4fd944c6523d3.jpg

I just attempted to take a clone from the Durban poison I mad the water 5.5 ph, cut the stem at the base, and made this jar construct. I hope it works out.771402185cf8b1ad7497b07908d3192f.jpg

Here are some close ups of my cheese, I want to make its blemishes more clear.3105fb915d9b97e5f24b11ea608770de.jpg7d3f6deed61e231b3a1d2c524e6fd40b.jpg75dabd44b36a915be36c789b203157e8.jpgc7d75de413680e312dd6aa383482ad9c.jpge30adc3d091564ef6b8636b724c39165.jpg

Other then these few things it looks good, and is looking better each day with full strength nute solution. I will say this much these photos are flatering the plant defiantly has much more a a yellow tinge to it in person.
