I flip back and forth between oats and rye. Personally, I do not have as many issues with rye as I do with oats. One gets bored tho lol.

MLBjammer was very fond of oats as well. I miss Jammer, and hope he is well. Look at the 14th post for how he did his.

On brf, on straw, the first time I tried composted manure. Nightmare all the way around. It was the first time to do the cow shit, and it was horrible. Stunk up my whole house lol.

If you have a system dialed in, they should be fine. This was 18 0r so years ago, and I didnt have an automated system then, and I have never been good at babysitting. I would probably rock them today. However, I hold a mean grudge.

I do Jammer's method pretty much exactly the same, but I do 1.5 cups of oats to 150 ml of water (my measuring cup has both on it). Really important to add like half a teaspoon of gypsum in there and shake a little bit while they are hot. I leave mine to cool in front of my hepa and can usually noc them up in less than an hour. My zstrain and RWF9's raaace through them and are usually done in a week.

This last round is from old plungers from last year. Not refrigerated. And then refrigerated (we lost a second fridge)
so. I wish you luck
I got the pesa to popcorn and spawned. I plastic wrapped it and recently cased w Vermiculite. Kinda excited..... But soo nervous. First bulk. Used egg carton, coir from spent plants i acquired, some soil, Vermiculite- all pasteurized
And its werkin.... :::screams like a girl:::

Cats... Just keep it simple.. Likes coir and potting soil and brf cakes .. Very slow colonization. Make your jars loose. I usually use one line on the plunger/syringe per hole And im using the small(quarter sized may be the actual name /size) jars unless itz center only and then i go 3 or 4

Where can I get some "Racing Oats"? The feed store keeps giving me Whole Oats when I ask for them. I told them that they have stripes and sponsor logos on them. They just laugh and give me the plain oats. Is there some code word to get the racing oats?
