I have coir casing that is having a wonderful flush for about 5 days now and still going strong. Unfortunately this morning it started showing signs of contamination. I have harvested the shrooms that are ready to pick. I’m not sure the casing is salvageable. Are the shrooms safe or should I just cut my losses? Is there a way to treat the casing maybe cutting out the bad parts?

Sorry to hear this.

What contam are you  referring to? And pictures always help.

The only way coir can contam is if it was introduced in the sub.

Peace

What type of contamination are we talking about? There are some that I wouldn't risk eating and some that I would say by all means go for it...
