Should I wait or go ahead and prep a tray of coco coir?
This is my first bulk grain spawn with Z Strain cubes.

Hopefully, this will tide me over until my pans are ready. I have a PF cake that is about 30%.

I would wait a couple days. It doesn't look right to me. That way you will know if it has a contam. It could just be that the grains are dry.

They are a bit dry... I went ahead and put them in a tray (before I saw your post about waiting) with 1/4” of coco coir and verm. This Z Strain is wicked aggressive. I inoc’d on the 9th and it was ready to shake after about a week. When I got the syringe, it looked almost like it was already germinating.
I’m curious to see how everything goes with FAE and humidity.

Looks like Trich to me, I had a jar full of it recently and didn't turn green for a while. How long has it been colonizing? Hope for you that it is not, and that my judgement is completely wrong.

It doesn’t look quite right to me for cubensis myc. If it’s as aggressive as you say, it may well be a contamination that’s growing.

I am gonna have to follow suite with a few of the previous posts... That doesn't look right to me either. Best to hold tight... I am pretty sure that its not just a need to consolidate... I think you have some kind of contam goin on but I guess dry could be an option.

How long ago did you shake?

How many days has it been colonizing?

Is there myc in there that looks white and other myc that looks grey?

The camera light isn’t doing me any favors. It’s was actually bright white when I took the photo.
