Hey guys!

Just had this Corumba tub colonizing for 20 days so I finally decided to fruit it. The mycelium doesn’t look the strongest but it might just be that my top layer was too wet. I used different verm for the bucket tek than my first few tubs, it was a lot coarser so I didn’t really consider the weight difference. That and the 3 quarts that went into this were questionable as well. I used an old print and had 5/14 survive. I made a smaller tub with 2 healthier looking qrts as well, with my usual verm and that’ll be ready to fruit any day now too.

I’m not sure If those dark spots are wet spots or just uncolonized top layer, sometimes I wish I used clear bins lol.

The mushrooms are pretty small but nice and healthy looking, I’m pretty stoked to get a fresh print of these and start over again with some bigger tubs.

So this ended up being harvested in 3 parts, not very ideal but the results were awesome. Very little aborts and some nice dense fruits. I took a bunch of pictures along the way.

Here’s after the first round, I got a nice print off that one touching the polyfil.

Here’s after the second round of picking lastnight, I picked a few out that morning too but forgot to take pics. Then I ended up letting more mature overnight.

And then I finished these off this morning

I didn’t really have to soak this one so I just gave it a heavy mist and onto the second flush

Thanks! I’m using white millet. I’ve been reading a lot in here of people just running their spawn at room temp so I gave it a try and I’m very impressed with the results. I’ve been just germinating the spores around 80 degrees and then after the first shake at 30% I move them to room temp to recover without any sign of stalling, a major breakthrough in my spawn game, thanks topia!

The second flush for the Corumba, I’ll pick these as they mature and then toss it, it’s looking pretty haggard. I’m surprised to yield what it did, and super happy to get a new print. I have 7 jars started on the 21st and already showing nice growth.

A batch of new jars i did on jan21, with a fresh print, looking super healthy too. They were colonizing at 80f for the last 10 days and now they’re gonna get a shake tomorrow and put upstairs at room temp. Pretty stoked for this tub.

You should use that really rhizo looking jar at the end for a GTG, I’m sure over time the rhizo genetics will outgrow the other colonies if you rinse and repeat.

I really want to, but March is a really busy month for me so I gotta slow things down a bit after these, it’s gonna be one bad ass tub tho!

what is your plan for these jars then?

Are you planning to use them later?

I’m just gonna grow them out as soon as they’re ready, along with one more tub during the month of March, I would usually transfer all of these into 49 and then make 7 tubs, but I’ll be too busy to look after my usual operation. I’ll be able to get right back into some serious spawn production mid March tho.

Thanks man! Yea it’s the print from the tub up above, super aggressive, I love it. The 7qrts should put out another crazy tub, I’ve been averaging 9oz first flush when I do that.

9oz dry is pretty insane. I have been reluctant to go big still. I think I'll do a couple more small grows and start going to bigger ones as soon as I have isolated some good genetics/clones. The spores I have been working with are still very much hit or miss.

Anyways, looking forward to that new tub - the previous one looked good!

I finally got around to spawning these jars a few weeks ago, the tub sat in incubation for 14 days and then went into fruiting 9 days ago. I’m pretty stoked on this tub, incredibly healthy looking and a nice even pinset happening. It was spawned to the bucket tek - brick of coir and 2 qrts verm.
