We are heading for Cancun in the morning, and I certainly hope to do some foraging down there. Does anyone have any tips? Certainly looking for actives, but would also be interested in gourmet as well.

Well, we are back home, sadly I didn't forage up much in the way of fungi. In fact, all that I really found there were some dried up, partially burn turkey tail (trametes versicolor) and not much else. I had also been hoping to see some unusual reptiles, since we stayed on the edge of a jungle swamp full of crocodiles, but all I got were the usual iguanas and anoles. Last time, I found a young boa constrictor with some neat colors, but struck out there too.

Yet, it was nice to get out of the cold and do some snorkeling and whatnot. Now. back to reality, with occasional fungal induced breaks!

Hope all are well!
