I'm playing my guitar, that pretty much never changes with the exception of a hand drum.

I have been playing guitar for 50+ years.  I'm still a hack.  LOL

I have bought a mandolin a year ago.  What a happy instrument that is!  If I am feeling down, all I have to do is start strumming, a smile starts to show, and all my cares disappear. :meditate:

Anything that has been recorded to date has "attachments" right now due to other musicians.....so I can't really post the recordings....maybe I'll put some of the lyrics up.

YES!

I love this thread.

I got a new baby last month. I've wanted a bouzouki for a couple years. The American mass produced ones where all kinda generic and spendy. So I ordered this from a little shop in Greece. It came tuned like a banjo. But I retuned it like a mandolin.

They may not be drums, guitars or basses but I do enjoy the sound they produce, good for trippin'. Tibetan singing bowls that I started collecting last year.

Still banging on my guitars daily, although since I got hurt and got surgery my playtimes are more like 10 minutes than all nighters. I still have a paralyzed arm but it's a teeny bit better now. I will take what I can get at this point and be glad I can play at all. I can still make pretty sounds, just got no longevity. I am sure hoping that gets better in the long run.

Good healing vibes to you Coop......

My acoustic has been tuned to open G for about month now.....and I bought a glass slide for my pinky and some new strings for both the Ibanez and the Schecter.......messing around with the blues....

The Robins are back in my neck of the woods and if I sit outside and play they will sometimes come hang out in the tree's close by and SING.....It's freaking awesome......

It's nice to see a thread like this--

I've been "playing" guitar for almost 25 years, but I didn't start until my 20's, so it's never really "clicked" into a language I can express with any fluency. So I call myself a guitar owner, not a player, if it ever comes up in conversation. I'll always regret not picking up up sooner-- I always loved it, but it never occurred to me to try and play as a kid since there was no music in my family life.

I do love playing, and despite my 5th grade skill level, I'm grateful to have them around. I have a Taylor 414ce and a Seagull S6 on the acoustic front, and 2 MIM franken-strats that I've gutted and re-equipped with all new electronics and hardware over the years. I also have an Epi 335Pro that's taken apart presently.

I have used pro tools and then studio 1. They're good programs, but if you wanna try something else get Mixcraft. Super user friendly. Huge banks of effects, virtual instruments and drum tracks. I spent years on the others and wasn't sure about switching but now I will never go back.

I just realized I'm answering a 6 month old post....
Well if you're still around. There's my take on it.

I bet those singing bowls sound awesome.
And second on those healing vibes. Music is my best medicine and I hope you heal back into your music.

Whether your a guitar God or a 1st grader plunking on a uke. I don't matter as long as you feel it and it makes you happy.
