I bet those singing bowls sound awesome.
And second on those healing vibes. Music is my best medicine and I hope you heal back into your music.

Whether your a guitar God or a 1st grader plunking on a uke. I don't matter as long as you feel it and it makes you happy.

I'm still experimenting and finding that two can create interference sound waves that produce a wavering sound that one alone can't do. Fascinating as Spock would say... Play with them for a few minutes and the stress melts away.

Arathu, I keep one of my 12 strings tuned in open G and have really enjoyed learning slide techniques, even though it came with more of a learning curve than I gave it credit for. As for playing outside, I have a video of me playing my 12 string on the back deck while a few rabbits dance around acting silly and obviously listening to me play. I think that is awesome too and makes my day when it happens. So glad I was finally able to get a video of it.

Still banging on my guitars daily, although since I got hurt and got surgery my playtimes are more like 10 minutes than all nighters. I still have a paralyzed arm but it's a teeny bit better now. I will take what I can get at this point and be glad I can play at all. I can still make pretty sounds, just got no longevity. I am sure hoping that gets better in the long run.

After a recent nasty fall my stamina is way down on my fretting hand. I had to move from bass to my 7/8 guitar.

Heal up!

That Gretsch looks sweet. I dig the crazy whammy bar contraption. Couple of friends have the hollowbodies but I've never played one....that step is usually followed by a trip to the music store to buy another toy I don't need but can't live without.

Bouzouki in the wee hours of the morning.

This is just a test of my emergency broadcast system.

Hmmm. Weird. Doesn't work now.
The mp3 test worked. It's a different recording device. Maybe I'm too stoned to format the file right.

Three days later.....

Guesd I can't get mp3s straight from my phone. Had to pipe it into recording software and mixdown to mp3 from there.

This is a late night song on the bouzouki from the other night when we got 12" of snow and a 3am hike into the woods with my dog felt like walking into a crazy new world.Attached File  bouzouki in the wee hours.mp3   4.68MB   82 downloads

man, cant believe i have missed all these beautiful musical instruments. Here is my newest addition, I needed a decent sounding acoustic that wouldn't break the bank. So i sold the Ibanez to be able to afford bran new. Yamaha FG800

Holy crap! I had that Yamaha model or something really similar, traded it in for a 7/8ths acoustic.

It's a mini bass. It's smaller than a normal acoustic. It's wicked fun.
The gig bag fits a backpacker guitar too. Bring a hand drum and you got a camping jam session.

Hey Rockyfungus. Check this one out.

My home made skate bass. My bandmate built a guitar version at the same time....but mine turned out better. Made out of the last 2 decks I broke before I decided I was too old (and fat) for street skating. Now I mostly roll on my cruiser board. Last time I tried landing a kickflip I trucked the landing and landed on my tailbone. Hurts a lot longer these days.

Now that's an AXE

These guys are looking sad and need some cleaning up and then a good fingering

Edit: I wonder how many people I just triggered with the order of instruments and uncut strings...

i was surprised how well the Yamaha sounds for the price. Although for me it is a lil on the larger size, I feel like i'm hugging a suitcase. I can see me switching to a smaller body. I find myself just picking up the Tele and noodling instead of the acoustic, just from a comfort perspective.

Loved the way it played was just so huge on me and I really struggled with barre chords closer to the nut.

A huge bass is fine, but an oversized acoustic or a fat neck makes me feel child size...

I've got a Yamaha FX335 that also really surprised me with how it plays/sounds. Especially run through the PA or an amp it just sings.

Not Sure what they run new but im guessing a few hundred maybe....i got mine for barter on a little bit of door trim work
