I am puzzled, I am just a couple months into experimenting in mycology ,and am truly fascinated by this science, obsessed is more like it! Anyway....I have a mono, with peru, the first flush was normal size fruits, was exited to see more success. THE SECOND FLUSH PRODUCED GIANTS, Ive had this happen with ecuador as well, didnt do anything different, but these results are amazing.....sub is compost manure(cow},coco, spag. peat moss, verm, gypsum, yeast, and blood meal. Yeah ,...I know, probably overkill, but nutrition makes sense to me. Any comments would be appreciated.

Yeah later flushes tend to produce bigger fruits, usually less in numbers.

Golden teacher are prime examples of mushrooms that start out small during the first flush and become monstrocities in the 2nd and 3rd.

Harvested some 5+g mushrooms earlier...

Still nothing will ever beat kou thai samuia grown from rye/millet 50/50 mix spawned to aged horse manure that was coated in firefang and chopped wheat straw.... I could have won a award with the 4 mushrooms it produced on 1st flush each weighed over 28g dry...

That's my monster p.cubensis story.

Those are some monsters yall. My biggest are like 1-2 gram range (dry), those are rare for me as the regular big ones are around .5-.7.

I was looking through some older pictures and found this pic, this was my first successful grow. That monster was nearly 40 grams. It was the second flush and not many other shrooms popped up from that cake. I think it is because this greedy bastard was taking all the nutrients for himself

That bastard couldn't even keep himself upright he's so heavy. Kind of looks like a sad old man with a nice hat.

Damnit... I have no chance of winning this competition... Genetics I have been working with produce short, wide, and dense lil F*#kers... Squat is a good way to refer to them... They are incredibly dense and significantly heavier than than they appear... Easier to store, much heavier when compared by volume...

I get "squats"lol when I run fancy artificial lighting. Short, fat dense, and surely nothing to complain about, but yeah "squat" sounds about right.

I'm thinking maybe changing it up a lil this round, like Longest Shroom and Biggest Cap Contest. I just got to get some ideas and round up some prizes.
