Blotch being caused by bacterial infection will be really tough to see on agar.
This is something I have noticed tho and it may help or it may not.
I use black food coloring in my agar the kind that's out during Halloween. And what I have seen is some bacterial infections breakdown whatever is used to tint the food colering turning it orange. If I see that I pitch the plate. I'll find a pic for you.2

Nice. Thank you. I used a plain old blue dye so maybe it will do that. The tubs kick off these aerial blooms so I just grabbed one of them. I have little experience with agar and my hood is packed up so I just flamed some tweezers and tried to get it in as quick as possible. We’ll see what it does.

Your welcome bud, maybe the blue dye will work as well bacteria will penetrate the agar unlike myc that generally stays on top.
What do you mean by "Arial blooms"? Like a myc fan? I use those for transfers all the time. Limits competition between substrains.

Yep. Exactly. I’ve never seen them but I layered my subs more on these tubs especially the last half inch or so and have vertical growth. Looks just like rhizo branching but straight up.

Those rizo fans are great I have a few pics In my rez erection thread where I transd a few fans to wbs jars. I have a few strains that make those fans at the top of the spawn jars all the time I grab those for the next generation when a spawn to sub.

The only downside is you never know how it's gonna fruit.
