I'm on the second flush of a PF Tek grow, and a few of the mushroom caps are looking a little gray. I should note FAE was a little low over the past couple of days and there was one day where there may have been direct sunlight for about an hour on one of the cakes.

Is this likely contamination or just a by-product of some neglectful parenting?

Huh, I see you have mostly healthy pins there. But I see what you mean, theres a grayish layer around some of them.

Often times new pins have this gray/off white layer around them that goes away with age.

If you give it 2 days youll know if its a stalled pin or just part of growing up.

Those look to be doing great. Don't change a thing.

Don't love your culture to death. Leave it to fruit over the next few hours.

Looks fantastic! Just watch them growing, they will change rapidly!
