Have you guys ever heard of or grew "pink buffalo"?
One of my first grows was from a donated print from Canada..eh.
I made a m.s syringe from it and did w.b.s jars. All but 1 tammed out so I made a small dub using a basic 50/50 sub.
It took forever for it to pin like a week and a half longer than the other cube I had going at the time and when it did pin there were tons.
As they grew I noticed that they looked very odd check it out.1507695510070310160176.jpg.c0dde214e5a17c44143af3ee7cf0c008.jpg 1507695549120-1242119404.jpg.6fefdb1a7a088fb2d773ed66dffb8c6c.jpg 15076956068811850439662.jpg.e1e9e9bb73f9b9cf5d93df4f1e94854e.jpg 1507695651813340616704.jpg.010c58acbd71e15c9b781c121bcbfae0.jpg 1507695674505-444558788.jpg.9222076cc2519a0b3f277ce65519b919.jpg IMAG0960.jpg.6f7abf41259ae70265cc2fcd4fdfcf43.jpg IMAG0970.jpg.d607b7cbb9f4b7677451349747f2b7c0.jpg

Then they just stopped growing, I gave them time and they def all aborted.
I have never had a grow look like that since. Granted I havnt tried to do another p.b grow tho.
Are those all different sub strains? Check these out.

I never seen suck a green cube b4 either my aa+ look a lil green at pin stage bit they lose it later (I call them Dragon eggs).
This is the haul lol. [attachment=1175428:IMAG0973.jpg.8ea99b62e114c89743d2a1948a60858b.jpg
They were a he'll of a ride guys
I just wanna know you guys thoughts on why it grew like that why it aborted why were there parrot green mush? If anyone has had a similar experience? Think it will happen again and is it does would it be worth trying to isolate those green ones cause they aborted?
Thanks for your time and input.

This got me thinking so I dug through my print binder and it looks like somehow I got prints from some of those. I have a few marked p.b brown, p.b yellow and one marked p.b "albino" (prob green not albino I dunno). But please correct me if I'm wrong the chances of me getting yellow or green fruit using one of those prints is really slim right? This was b4 I did agar twerk, i wish I would have been able to clone.

It almost looks like a mix of 2 or more varieties in those first pics.  I would assume that the greenish looking ones are the albinos, but that's just a guess.  They appear to be ok, the coloration is just a bit unusual.

The og print was horrible looking basically a bunch of actual gills, so I took 1 gill and made a syringe so I don't think I got it mixed up with my aa+. But who knows the conditions that the print was made in.

I think the exploded stems are a sign of vert.

Ahhh. I never thought of that. That would stress them out causing it to throw out as many pins as possible.
What do you guys think the chances are of getting those white/green ones again? And if I wanted the best chances should I use the og print or spores from the white/green fruits?
I think it would be fun to try to get a new lutistic strain stabilized.

I have a few grams of agar agar left over from my last adventure in growing. I have been debating on how to use it. I think starting on this lil project would be a good use for it.

Just depends on if they were like that because of environmental factors or genetics.  I would say either print could land you with them again if it was indeed genetic.

You think stress would cause the lack of pigment?

I do think that is a possibility. Too low humidity grown mushrooms are always very light faint colored for instance.

It’s so strange, I would think they would be more mutated if this was vert.

Either way very weird looking fruits, they all like so different

That is one hell of a pin set. And multi spore too. Sometimes when you get that many pop up they don't get very big. I  am curious to see your next flush if you can get one off that.

You got your p.b print from canada, eh?

For 6years I grew pink buffalo and made several donations of large quantities of prints to fsr canada as well as held give always on shroomery under the handle hybridprx... I dont know what the chances are that they were one of mine but if you say the print looked horrific then that's my only doubt, otherwise it's a small world lol

I've never seen pink buffalo grow like that before, but then again I've never seen green mushrooms either....kind of scary looking. I imagine you sterilized the spore syringe of the aa+ before loading up the pb's but it defiantly looks like two different strains like others have mentioned.... what was your source for the print, user, vendor or fsr?

I'm completely lost for a proper explanation as to why that happened to your grow, I'm unaware of any kind of bacteria that causes a green discoloration but it could be a viral infection.

This grow was b4 I had any aa+ genetics in my house, so it's not from my end. It was a donation from a shroomology member that felt bad that my first try at growing tubs failed horribly.

I feel bad saying it was a bad print cause the dude was helping me out, but I'm pretty sure sending gills ain't proper printing tek.

I'm gonna give it another go gonna do 1 with the o.g print and 1 with the only print I was able to get outta that 1 larger white/green fruit. See what pops up and be ready to clone cause if I can get a green cube grow that would be nuts.

I seem to recall printing very well for some odd reason or another but I never sent out anything with gills attached to it.

That would be considered a active culture and raise the alarms. Either way, pretty funky and scaring looking like I said.... I dont know if I'd trust eating those. All my pb grow photos were erased when the site hosting them had server issues or else I'd show you some pretty good pictures of them. If you got some clean prints try restarting the culture, pb are phenomenal performers.

Those pics are 2 years old, there from when I started doing tubs. I ate them and it was great, dehydrated first and made tea if I remember right. I wanted to get input on this b4 I tried it again.

Yup sadly it's gonna be from prints (and gills) tho. I like agar twerk but I'm really low on it a.t.m and kinda broke.

I don't see anyone currently growing that strain so I thought it would be nice to start it.
