Hey everybody, it time to start the garden, I'm still In a rental situation and in an urban area so incantations go full on farm but I've increased my growing area from one 8*8 raised bed to 2 8*8 beds this year and I plan on doing a wild flower patch as well as a shaded patch this year. I'm about to start my seeds(last year I started in January and that wasn't the best idea although I did everything indoors I was working with a 150 wat equivalent led and it wasn't enough light. This year I don't have room in the tent to many cacti that need homes. Well when I get photos I'll post me but today Mark's the start. Thanks all!

Man, that got to be a bitch, running that tiller upside down....  (just teasing :)

I'm actually a bit jealous, as the snow is holding on hard this year, and we've still got about 3 feet over our garden.  But we got to 52*F today, and it's melting....  slowly, but its melting.

Keep up the good work, and good grow vibes to your garden  :meditate:

We are a bit North of 60 deg latitude.   Here is a pic of a moose on our still frozen lake, taken 2 days ago.

I think Mikey has a thread around here on how to get your pics to orientate properly.  I'll see if I can find it and give you a link.

EDIT: here is the link about picture orientation.

Hey all back with an update, sorry for the gap life is always busy for me this time of year but I goto photos to share. Also the chickens were killed by a neighborhood dog so we are in process to get more but none at the moment.
I'm going to add a photo of the chickens and they're space as we are proud of what we did although it still didn't stop the dog who killed them. We have a wild duck who's nested with us in our herb garden. We think she has 6 eggs as she came and sat for 8 days before starting to lay and we saw her lay 3 eggs over a 3 day period while the nest was still filling once she had it covered more we couldn't see her progress any more and we didn't disturb the nest. We are glad the pair (male sits across the st and watches her) decided to like us. We still water and pluck herbs off but we ignore her like she doesn't exist I think it helps her feel safer. Ok over to cacti for an update

Hey got an update, the summer has been helping the garden and with sometimes twice daily watering i keep getting mushrooms pop up. When i started the garden i added a product named great white premium mycorrhizae, beneficial bacteria and fungi. It along with culturing my own with brown rice in tree roots over the winter it makes the soil a digesting machine. We top off the ground with our pine shavings from the chicken coop. We got some great growth ill have another update of my other 2 beds later today
